“We met in a bar,” Well, how romantic.
But we did.
Myself, being newly 21 at the time, frequented a few Port Huron bars.
Ryan, returning home from D.C. in the height of his career, frequented the same bars.
How funny is it, for life to have the most perfect circumstances, just for two souls to cross paths at the right time.
After a few nights with mutual friends, I needed to know more about Ryan.
“Is your name Patrick? Because you look like a Patrick,” How smooth! He is definitely never talking to you again.
“That’s my middle name!” Ryan exclaimed.
I’ll take it!
And there my door was opened - to so much more than I ever expected.
For years, we both hoped and dreamed to meet the person we would be with forever. After multiple heartbreaks and major life events, Ryan and I found ourselves in the same place, having danced around each other for years with only a handful of miles between us. Both with a guarded heart, we were not looking for love at the time.
But love will find you when you least expect it, at the moment it was meant for you.
Ryan and I quickly found ourselves in love. It was like a puzzle that was finally complete.
It is with so much joy that we ask our friends and family to celebrate with us. We aren't only celebrating our marriage, but celebrating life, family, friends, love, the beauty of endings, and new beginnings.
