When do I need to RSVP

Where do we park?
Rollins Mansion has very limited parking. There is a circle drive where guests can be dropped off in front of the mansion. Parking is provided at the business next door. Signs will be posted. We have reserved lots 1, 2 & 3. Their address is 2633 Fleur Drive | Des Moines, IA 50321
Is there a dress code?
Yes. It is semi-formal attire. Keep things light since we will be outside.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
The Bride and Groom have provided a photographer in the Octagon Garden for you to take family pictures. Doors open at 4:00p. The ceremony begins at 5:00p.
Can I bring a date?
When you RSVP, there is a spot saved for a Guest if one has been set aside in our guest count.
Are children welcome?
Due to limited seating, some children are invited. If they are included in the invite, they will be listed in the RSVP.
Is it a buffet or plated meal?
It is a plated meal. Before you are seated, you will need to grab your place marker which will have your selected meal on display.
Do you have any hotel recommendations?
There are many great places to stay in Des Moines. Rollins is located near the airport on Fleur Drive. Check out the travel section for the hotel block, but you are welcome to stay wherever you'd like.
Is transportation provided from the preferred hotel?
No.
What if I have food allergies or dietary needs?
Please list those in the RSVP.
Is everything in the same location?
Yes.
Is this inside or outside?
Both the ceremony & reception will be outside weather permitting. The cocktail hour will be in the mansion. The mansion will be open throughout the evening if you need a place to get away.
I've never been to Rollins. Can I look around?
Yes! The mansion and its grounds are open all night. Feel free to explore.
What do the Bride & Groom need?
The short answer is not much. Sophia purchased a home last year, so they are pretty well outfitted. Please refer to their registry for ideas.
What time will the reception end?
The send off will be at 10:30p.
I hate cake. Can I bring my own dessert?
You're in luck! We have an ice cream truck coming from 8:30-9:30p.
What happens if it rains or it is super hot?
If the weather isn't cooperating, the event will be held inside of Rollins Mansion.
Is the dance floor hard on your feet?
The dance floor is a cobble stone patio. If your feet ache, you might want to bring an extra pair of comfy shoes.
What is the wedding day itinerary?
5:00p - Ceremony
5:30p - Cocktail Hour
6:30p - Cake Cutting
7:00p - Reception Dinner
8:00p - Let's Dance
9:00p - Ice Cream Truck
11:00p - Send Off
Is it ok to post wedding photos on social media?
Yes! Please share.
Where is the handicap parking?
It is behind the building. Once you enter the parking, turn to left and go to the back side of the mansion.
I took some cute photos. How do I get them to the Bride & Groom?
At the ceremony, you will receive a card with a QR code on it. This will allow you to upload your photos to our Wedding Album.
How do I share photos with you?
