Southwest Airlines fly's into Fresno now. This is a solid option for those who pack heavy—bags fly free!

Otherwise:

LOG INTO A PRIVATE BROWSER AND SEARCH GOOGLE FLIGHTS.

If you do not search in private, you will get cookies and your flight prices will increase.

Try to fly in at least the night before should there be any delays or flight cancellations.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport

(FAT)

This is the closest airport to the venue.

Flights will be a bit more expensive than flying into a larger airport like LAX or SFO, but you would not need to rent a car.

This airport is 20 minutes to the suggested hotels.

Los Angeles International Airport

(LAX)

We have made this trips many times before. Flights are going to be cheaper to fly into LAX.

However, you will need to rent a car and hit the road. It is about a 3.5 hour drive to the recommended hotels.

If you are planning to stay longer and check out Yosemite or see any other parts of California this could be a good option for you.

San Francisco International Airport

(SFO)

Flights should be cheaper flying into SFO.

However, you will need to rent a car and hit the road. It is about a 2.5 hour drive to the recommended hotels.

If you are planning to stay longer and check out Yosemite or see any other parts of California this could be a good option for you.

Or, you can ride a train from San Francisco to Fresno which would be about 4 hours each way.

Sacramento International Airport

(SMF)

Flights should be cheaper to fly into Sacramento.

However, you will need to rent a car and hit the road. It is about a 2.5 hour drive to the recommended hotels.

The drive from the Midwest to California is about 30 hours and you can either take the northern or southern route during this time of year.

Northern Route

You will take the I-70 all the way through the heart of US farmland for a rough 16 hours. Then, once you hit Denver, the pain of Kansas will be long gone. One of the most gorgeous drives we've done is between Denver and Vegas.

We usually split the drive in to 3 days and make the following stops:

1. Anywhere in Kansas

2. St. George, UT, Zion National Park, or Vegas

3. Hotel Block in Fresno, CA (arrive to your destination)

Cool places to make pit stops:

- Denver, CO

- Small ski towns in CO (Vail, etc)

- Anywhere in Utah

- Zion National Park

- Las Vegas (win big and pay for your trip)

Southern Route

We've only done this one once so far, but will be doing it again this winter and will update this! This drive is pretty consistent, so no extremely boring stretches, but also not as amazing as driving through CO and UT.

The stops that we have made are:

1. Oklahoma City

2. Flagstaff (to see the sun rise at the Grand Canyon - We HIGHLY suggest doing this if you take the southern route)

3. Hotel Block in Fresno, CA (arrive to your destination)

Cool places to make pit stops:

- Oklahoma City

- Petrified Forest

- Grand Canyon

- Costco in Albuquerque
