Sophia was on her way to Astoria, Queens, to celebrate one of her friend’s 21st birthday on November 11th, 2018 (Irene)! The birthday celebration was to take place at Caprice in Astoria that evening.

Meanwhile, Thanasi was on a bus from Virginia to NYC to celebrate his friend’s name day, (Mina’s)! The name day celebration was to take place at Caprice in Astoria that evening.

Both Sophia and Thanasi, two complete strangers, ended up at the same place and time at Caprice that night. They had never met, spoken to each other or ever seen each other before that memorable evening! Thanasi recognized one of the girls in the birthday celebration group, (Lia), and casually walked over to say hello and bought all the girls shots! After the formal introduction, Thanasi and Sophia spoke endlessly for the rest of the evening! Thanasi even asked Sophia on a date for the next day before his trip back home! He wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty before he hopped on to the bus back to Richmond, Virginia! Unfortunately, Sophia already had a prior commitment and said no! Since the day they met, Thanasi and Sophia have not missed a day of speaking on the phone!

Fast forward, June 11, 2023, Thanasi cleverly planned a trip to SLS Baha Mar with Sophia. Thanasi proposed to Sophia to spend the rest of their life together as one - as she will now become the new SLS- Sophia Logothetis Sevdalis! Cheers to a happily ever after together!
