Sophia’s POV: We met at a church event in 2016, and soon after, he started attending my school. He was a very flirty boy and soon caught all the girls attention. I've always thought he was cute but I didn't think he'd ever like me, so I just left it alone. Throughout the years we've been friends, and kept connected on Snapchat, Instagram, and in person. He would always check up on me and I thought it was super sweet. After a series of hardships and a season of self discovery, We got closer and he asked me to hangout on September 28, 2023. (It ended up being our first date, even though I didn't plan for that.) He confessed that he has had interest in me for a while and kept it to himself. He asked me to officially be his girlfriend on October 5th. We really hit it off and I've come to love his joyful and silly personality. He has treated me like a lady straight from the start, and he hasn't stopped since. I soon realized that he was the one and he expressed the same to me. We gave each other promise rings on December 17th. We began envisioning our life together and what that would look like. We enjoyed our time dating, hanging out, and getting to know each other. He proposed to me on June 18th and I said yes with a full heart. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.
Jaeden’s POV: I met Sophia 8 years ago and we went to school together, and I started to like her. We were friends, we used to FaceTime and talk all the time. I’ve secretly liked her for a really long time (maybe since middle school… so like 7 years??) I’ve been hurt in the past by some people and my trust was gone. My emotions had been sanded down. I knew she had been in relationships, so I didn’t want her to reject me after a soon breakup. I thought I hinted pretty hard but she didn’t understand (lol). Then General Conference came around and we started hanging out and flirting a little. I was enamored with her. I realized I had to get myself together and ask her out. I asked her to hang out on September 28, she didn’t know it was a date until halfway through, I had assumed it was a date and we really hit it off. And then we went back to my house and watched a couple movies and then I said “I love you”, then we had our first kiss. I kept asking her to be my girlfriend and she finally, on October 5th, said yes. And this has been has been the best thing to have ever happened in my entire life. I knew she was the one as time passed, because I knew I couldn’t imagine a world without Sophia. So I asked her parents, Pastor, and my parents if I could marry her and then on June 18th I proposed. I was so nervous but excited and happy at the same time. I love being engaged to her cause I know she’s mine.
