Sophia and Chris met through all region band auditions in middle school. The two really hit it off when they officially became friends the second time they met, which was at a birthday party the same academic year! They hung out by attending church functions with friend groups, went to dinner all together, and hung out through mutual friends in band. After a few years of friendship and sharing common interests (where Sophie kept him in the friend zone), Chris finally built the courage to ask Sophie in eleventh grade on a date and she said yes. Their first date was to the movies on a double date followed by ihop. That evening, he finally asked Sophie to be his girlfriend. The two have been going strong ever since! There were lots of challenges along the way, but the two knew that there was no other they wanted to be with. Growing up together, they got to be there for some major milestones for each other. They love getting to use their common interests to spend time together like gaming together or gaming in the same room but not together, having dates, performing in music ensembles together, and attending each others concerts to be supportive spouses! Chris and Sophie performed together in concert band, marching band, orchestra and in many other organizations together! After the high school sweethearts were together for over ten years, it truly felt like it was the perfect sign that they were meant to tie the knot.
