Our story begins in the often-treacherous world of online dating. Sophie was drawn to Todd’s kindness and humor, while Todd was intrigued by Sophie’s energetic (at times chaotic) personality and the way that she laughed at his bad jokes. We started chatting casually, swapping stories, sharing the importance of our Christian faith, and of course, that Sophie said she was a “Browns fan” (even though her knowledge for football is... limited). What began as a simple connection quickly blossomed into something deeper.

Our first date took place at Alchemy, a cozy cafe in Grandview. The conversation flowed effortlessly from the moment we sat down, and by the time we finished our lunch, we both knew we had found someone special. We talked about how Sophie was a triplet, about our "Cleveland dads", our limited dietary overlaps and all the other fun first date topics.

We quickly began a routine of FaceTime calls, dates, and hangouts—always looking forward to the next time we could spend together. Whether it was going to jazz concerts, planning a "surprise" date, or simply enjoying each other’s (and Todd’s dog Jameson!) company over Indian food in the quiet moments, we quickly realized that we wanted to spend every day with each other.

One of the things we love most about our relationship is the way we’ve grown together, both as individuals and as a couple. We’re constantly learning from one another—especially in our shared faith. We enjoy deep conversations stemming from our check-ins, situational questions from the "The book of questions”, and whatever else comes to our minds.

As we look back on the journey that led to this moment, we’re filled with gratitude for the way God has brought us together. Our relationship is built on faith, trust, laughter, and a shared love of life. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together, continuing to grow, learn, and enjoy every moment side by side.
