Cleveland Hopkins International Airport

5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland, OH 44135, USA(216) 265-6000Cleveland is the bigger airport in the area, with the most flight options (including lots of nonstop flights from major cities). From there, it’s a 54 minute drive to the venue. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, car rental options, and rideshares at the airport. If you’re looking for the most flexibility with flights, this might be the best choice.

Akron-Canton Airport

5400 Lauby Rd NW, North Canton, OH 44720, USA(888) 434-2359Akron–Canton is smaller and super easy to get around, which makes for a low-stress travel day. It’s about a 27 minute drive to the venue. While there may not be as many nonstop flights as Cleveland, security lines are usually short, and rental cars are right outside the terminal; very convenient after a long day of travel!

John Glenn Columbus International Airport

4600 International Gateway, Columbus, OH 43219, USA(614) 239-4000Columbus is another great option, about a 1 hour 40 minute drive to the venue. It’s larger than Akron–Canton but still easy to get around, and it offers a good number of nonstop flights. Like Cleveland, you’ll find dining, car rentals, and rideshares right at the airport. If ticket prices are better here than Cleveland or Akron, it’s definitely worth considering.

Which one should you pick?Cleveland (CLE): Best if you want the most flight options and flexibility.Akron–Canton (CAK): Best for the shortest drive and easiest airport experience.Columbus (CMH): A good middle ground; more flights than Akron–Canton, still a reasonable drive. No matter which airport you choose, you’ll need to rent a car (or arrange a ride) to reach North Lawrence, since public transportation is limited. The good news is the drives are all straightforward and give you a chance to enjoy some of Ohio’s rolling countryside.

Where to stay

We’re so excited to celebrate with you in North Lawrence! Many of our guests are traveling from out of state, and we want you to make the most of your time in Ohio. North Lawrence is a charming rural area, so while there aren’t many lodging options right next to the venue, nearby towns make it easy to stay close and comfortable. If your priority is being as close as possible to the wedding venue, staying in Orrville or Massillon is the most convenient option. These towns are small and don’t offer many activities, but they get you to the venue quickly and easily. If you’d like to make a weekend of it and experience something a bit more unique, we recommend staying near Wilmot in Amish Country. It’s about a 24-minute drive to the venue, but you’ll get to enjoy charming local attractions, delicious food, and the area where we’ll be spending the weekend. We’ve reserved a block of rooms at The Inn at the Amish Door, which offers cozy accommodations and a classic Amish-style breakfast each morning. There are also lots of unique Airbnb options nearby if you prefer a more private or one-of-a-kind stay. Be sure to check out our “Things to Do” tab for some of the activities and places we plan to enjoy over the weekend. We can’t wait to experience a little trip back in time in Amish Country with you and spend time together on our wedding weekend! For a unique and charming stay, we recommend The Inn at the Amish Door in nearby Wilmot, about a 24-minute drive from the wedding venue. The Inn offers cozy accommodations and a delicious Amish-style breakfast each morning. To reserve a room, simply call the Inn and let them know it’s for the Lombardi-Rodriguez Wedding. All rooms for our guests are reserved on the same floor, and the Inn is offering special pricing for our wedding weekend. Guests staying Saturday and Sunday nights, as well as those arriving Thursday or Friday, can enjoy half off Sunday night. Since this is rural Ohio, there isn’t an online block code and reservations must be made by phone. Whether you want to enjoy the local attractions, the peaceful countryside, or simply relax before the celebration, The Inn at the Amish Door is a wonderful option.

Just 14 minutes from the wedding venue, the Cobblestone Hotel &amp; Suites offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities including microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee stations. Orrville is a small, welcoming town with minimal attractions, but it’s one of the closest options for getting to the venue quickly. Start your day with the complimentary breakfast and enjoy easy access to nearby restaurants.

A must-visit stop in Amish Country, Heini’s Cheese Chalet has been crafting small-batch cheeses since 1935 using milk from local Amish farms. Guests can watch cheese being made through large viewing windows during scheduled production hours, giving a behind-the-scenes look at traditional cheesemaking. One of the highlights is the tasting room—where you can sample dozens of different cheeses, from classics like Swiss and cheddar to more unique flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Nestled in the rolling hills of Ohio’s Amish Country, Breitenbach Wine Cellars is one of the region’s most beloved destinations. Guests can sample over 40 award-winning grape, fruit, and berry wines—including their signature Dandelion wine—while enjoying the peaceful countryside views. Take time to browse the large gift shop, join a guided cellar tour, or stop by Café Breitenbach for lunch featuring paninis, fresh salads, and wood-fired pizzas. There’s plenty of seating indoors, under the tents, or on the patio overlooking the vineyards. We’re so excited to celebrate with everyone at Peacock Ridge! Our ceremony will be outdoors with the reception to follow inside the barn. Cocktail attire is requested. We’d love for guests to dress up while still feeling comfortable for an early fall wedding. For our wedding, cocktail attire means dressy and polished while still fitting the relaxed feel of our rustic venue. Guests are encouraged to wear semi formal attire such as cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, sport coats, or dress shirts with ties. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
