Sophia and Nate met summer of the pandemic on 4th of July weekend in Columbia, Missouri, just before Nate and his Best Man Sam Body moved to Los Angeles.

Sophia was living with Jessica Stacy, groomsperson and Sam's wife when the two best friends decided to drive up from St. Louis and visit Jessica for the holiday. This is when the couple met for the first time.

Months later they spent hours singing old songs and talking about music and films until the sun rose when they knew they were in love.
