The journey to our happily ever after started on the first day of veterinary school at THE Ohio State University after Huw skipped all of orientation and sat quietly amongst Sophie and her friends (more commonly known as the little fruits). Soon after, it became the little fruit mission to get Huw to best friend status with a Cazuela marg night. From there, our friendship grew over the first year of school, a summer of Columbus exploring, and moving into a house with cousins and friends. By the end of second year, friendship turned to dating and the true fun of school and memory making began with many amazing people entering into our lives along the way. Many hours of studying, clinics, vacations, camping and hiking trips later, it was time to re-enter the real world. Despite the long distance of Huw getting assigned to San Antonio, TX then Columbus, GA working as a military veterinarian and Sophie starting ER veterinary work near Cleveland, OH, we found a way to keep our spark for each other and life alive and even squeezed in more hiking and climbing trips amidst the busy learning curve of being new grad vets. When news arrived from the army that Huw would be getting transferred by Autumn 2023 to the Veterinary Medical Center Europe in Kaiserslautern, Germany, the itch to get hitched started spreading. We are grateful to have tied the knot officially on a cold and rainy Ohio April 17th day with close family and true friend/officiant Gabrielle amongst the Metroparks cherry blossoms or virtually via phones propped on a violin stand. After a few busy months of planning, we jetted off with passports and visas in hand for the big move to Deutschland. Settling in has been exhilarating

and has opened exciting doors for us to navigate life together for the first time in a long time with bonus European adventures to spice things up. We are excited to finally share the love with you all for a renewal of vows and “shell”ebration near the paradise of Pawley’s island! We hope you join in creating more wonderful memories with us at the island where the Cressman family has already made so many each summer over the past 26 years ❤️
