Our Wedding

Our story started long before we even knew it—our mums were best friends as teenagers, so we’ve technically known each other since birth. But it wasn’t until school that we properly crossed paths, when Cian was the year ahead of Sophie. We became friends in our early teens, though Sophie secretly had a crush on Cian from the age of 10 (he, of course, had absolutely no idea!). Finally, in 2014, Cian worked up the courage to ask Sophie to his Debs—and at just 16, we went from best friends to something more. Safe to say, he eventually came to his senses! Life has taken us on some amazing adventures together, from growing up side by side in Dublin to spending two years living in the Cayman Islands. When we returned home, Cian planned the most perfect proposal: a trip to Galway over the October bank holiday. By the sea at the Spanish Arch, he got down on one knee—and the rest is history. Now, after all these years of laughter, growing, and loving together, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.

Wedding Day Timeline – 23rd July 2026 3:00 PM – Guest CollectionBuses will collect all guests from Nerja City Centre to take everyone to the ceremony venue. Please be ready to board on time so we can start the celebrations smoothly! 4:00 PM – Wedding CeremonyThe ceremony will begin promptly. Get ready for the magic to unfold as Sophie and Cian say “I do.” Reception &amp; DinnerFollowing the ceremony, enjoy food, drinks, and celebrations with family and friends. Dance, laugh, and make memories under the Nerja sky. 3:00 AM – Return to NerjaBuses are organized to return all guests safely to Nerja Town at the end of the night. Dress Code:Think bright, bold, and colourful—something fit for a runway! Let your outfit sparkle and shine, and have fun with prints, patterns, and vibrant colours that match our disco-vintage vibe.

Getting to NerjaNerja is a beautiful seaside town on the Costa del Sol, about 50 minutes east of Málaga. By Air:The closest airport is Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP), which has regular flights from Dublin and other major cities.From Málaga to Nerja:By Car: The easiest option is to rent a car at the airport—Nerja is just under an hour’s drive along the A-7 motorway.By Taxi/Transfer: Private transfers and taxis are widely available from the airport and can be booked in advance.By Bus: ALSA buses run regularly from Málaga Airport or Málaga Bus Station to Nerja and take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive, Nerja is a walkable town, so getting around is simple and stress-free! Where to Stay Nerja has plenty of lovely accommodation options to suit everyone’s style and budget. We recommend booking early, as it’s a popular spot (the good news—most hotels offer free cancellation if your plans change!). Perla MarinaA family-friendly hotel on the beachfront with spacious rooms and plenty of amenities for kids and adults alike. Hotel Toboso ChaparilA budget-friendly option in a central location, making it a great choice if you want something simple and convenient. Of course, there are countless villas, apartments, and boutique hotels around Nerja too—so wherever you stay near the Balcon de Europa, you’ll be in the perfect spot.

To make the celebrations last a little longer, we’d love for you to join us for some extra wedding events! We’ll be kicking things off with Welcome Drinks on 22nd July 2026 at Cochraran’s Rooftop Terrace—the perfect chance to relax, mingle, and soak up the Nerja sunshine before the big day. Then, after the wedding, we’ll gather once more for a Day-After Celebration at the Fitzgerald Rooftop, where we can reminisce, laugh, and keep the party vibes going just a little longer.
