Sophie and Alex originally met through a mutual friend. He added her on snapchat and one of his friends messaged her when they were both at different weddings. They didnt talk much after that night and neither thought too much of it.


Fast forward a couple weeks and the couple matched on Tinder. Sophie didnt take it too seriously until the conversation really started flowing. This led to her getting a little upset because Alex wasnt taking the next step by asking for her number or snapchat. Little did she know, they had already taken that step.


After a while, Alex finally confessed that they sort of already knew each other. Sophie was able to put the pieces together and they were finally able to move off the app.


It took a while for them to coordinate their first date. Sophie was home for Thanksgiving and went back to Ames early so they could make a date work the Saturday following Thanksgiving. Sophie cried before the first date because she was so nervous and filmed a video saying she was getting ready for her first date with her future husband. Luckily, shes never been wrong a day in her life. ;)


Now, here they are, preparing for their wedding. After their first date, as cheesy as it sounds, they knew it was meant to be. When the mutual friend asked how it went, they both made comments about their future wedding. Little did they know, they would end up here. A little over 2 and a half years after they initially added each other on snapchat, getting married and becoming a family.
