It was pure magic. A total surprise. He had taken me to Osage Hills State Park for a "Couples Photo Shoot" with my friend Penny. There were so many signs, I should have suspected that something was up but I didn't! Penny said she needed photos for her portfolio and I said yes, of course, not knowing that she and Elisha had been planning this for who knows how long! At the very end of the photo shoot, we were in a field by the entrance of the park and he was behind me, I was assuming it was just for the picture. When he said "Turn around" I literally felt my heart stop beating. I turned around and was overwhelmed with emotion seeing him down on one knee.

I was both laughing and crying (overwhelmed with emotion, as I said) and I said yes. Obviously. But not until after telling him he sucks. Twice. THEN I said yes.

After I said yes, we took a few more pictures and I could not wait to tell everyone. But then from across the field we saw an ATV driving toward us and a guy came up to tell us that we were on private property and that we need to leave... and then the sheriff shows up and gives us not one, not two, but THREE tickets for not paying the stupid $8 parking pass!

I'm sure they thought I was crazy because I couldn't stop smiling, even as the sheriff was passing out tickets to all of us. It was so memorable, to say the least.
