Our Wedding

Think of this weekend as a camping weekend, where Reed and Sophie just happen to also be getting married! The weekend is family friendly, so feel free to bring the kids if you would like! Sorry, there are no pets allowed on site. You'll have to leave your fur babies with the sitter. The grounds &amp; amenities have been rented from Friday Aug 28th-Sunday Aug 30th. We will be hosting the following events, all on the Ness Creek grounds, for all guests to attend:1. Friday evening social &amp; hang2. Saturday afternoon ceremony3. Saturday evening reception, dinner &amp; dance For those staying the full weekend, arrive any time on Friday. We ask that guests depart by Sunday evening so we can ensure the site is all cleaned up for Monday morning.

Details of the weekend

Lodging We have rented out the entire Ness Creek Campground for the weekend for our guests! The following lodging is available on site, at no cost: 1. Cabins: limited, prioritizing first those bringing children and second those from out of province. Bedding provided.2. Canvas tents: limited, prioritizing first those bringing children and second those from out of province. Must bring your own bedding/sleeping bag.3. Tent sites: unlimited!4. RV power sites: 8 sites total that have power. Sites will be reserved on first come first serve, let us know if you would like to reserve one. If you would prefer to stay off site, Big River is the nearest town with a hotel (18 minute drive). The hotel is on top of the town bar (can be loud throughout the night). There are various AirBnB cottages off site as well that you can look into. If you are not staying on site, please plan on a safe ride home. There's no uber, and no reliable taxi service in Big River. Zero tolerance for drinking and driving. Keep an eye out for our RSVP via email in January, where we will ask for guests preference for cabins/canvas tents (sites limited). Priority for cabin &amp; canvas tents will be given first to those bringing children, and second to those from out of province. We will try our best to accommodate everyones wishes, and will let you know what is available once all RSVPs are received. Amenities1. Public &amp; shared washrooms on site.2. Showers: public female and male showers on site.2. Water: tap water is available &amp; drinkable3. Kitchen: there is no public kitchen space available. If you need any personal items or food refrigerated, please pack a cooler.4. Electricity/Power: Cabins have electricity, canvas tents are non powered, tent sites are non powered. As above, there are 8 powered RV sites. Lodging & Amenities

Food will be provided for the following meals:1. Friday night supper (beer &amp; wine provided)2. Saturday night supper (beer, wine &amp; cocktails provided)3. Saturday &amp; Sunday morning breakfasts (coffee provided) Please arrange &amp; bring your own food for other meals &amp; snacks, like you would for any camping trip. There are no restrictions on food and drinks; bring what you like! Clean drinking water is available on site. It is well water, and some people don't like the taste. If you think this will be a problem, plan on bringing your own bottled water/water jugs. Bear safety tips: there are bears &amp; other wildlife around. Please keep your food and garbage in your vehicle, cabin or designated bear proof container (if you have one &amp; choose to bring it).

Food & Drink

Apparel:1. Cozy/warm clothes for evening/night time (bunnyhug, sweatpant, warm socks, toque). Temperature can get down to as low as 5 degrees overnight.2. Dress code for Friday night is casual3. Dress code for ceremony &amp; reception is relaxed. Feel free to wear whatever makes you feel good &amp; ready to dance! The campground is not paved, would recommend against very pointy heels if you don't want to sink.4. Rain gear in case it gets wet5. Bathing suits &amp; towel6. Shower sandals7. Sunglasses &amp; hat Suggested camping gear: 1. Camping gear: tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, folding chairs, tarp, rope2. Personal bedding/sleeping bag/pillow if in canvas tent (bedding provided in cabins)3. Camp cooking gear (for personal meals): water bottle, utensils, cups, plates, camp suds &amp; kitchen sponge, if you'd like camping stove, pots, fuel, coolers, camp suds &amp; kitchen sponge, etc4. Camp fire gear: wood will be provided, bring a lighter &amp; paper5. Food/bevies: personal snacks, all lunches, preferred beverages6. Misc: garbage bags, duct tape, head lamp/flashlight, personal medication (tylenol, advil, after bite), portable power bank, bug spray, sunscreen, speaker, personal toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, soap Activities:1. Beach gear (lakes nearby)2. Outdoor games (some will be provided, but if you have a favourite bring it along: frisbee, paddle board, etc)3. Limited cell service on site - if you would like to use the internet recommend downloading whatever you need prior to coming.

Packing List

There is limited cell service as you get closer to the site - recommend DOWNLOADING map/instructions prior to leaving. <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/omuxMTCzu6RR8x1LA" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google maps link</a> FROM SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN:Take Highway 12 to Blaine Lake. Highway 12 ends at a stop sign here; the intersection has two gas stations. Turn right onto Highway 40. Continue on Highway 40 for 55 km until you come Highway 3 (a T-intersection).Turn right and head towards Shellbrook. At the edge of Shellbrook, turn left at the Northwood Esso gas station, onto Highway 55. You are now headed North. Approximately 5 km North of Shellbrook, turn left to remain on Highway 55. This is the turn most-often missed, so watch for it carefully! You are now going North-West. Travel along Highway 55 for 73 km. Option A: Just before Big River you will see the Carrier Lumber Mill on the left. You need to turn right onto Revo Road 922 (marked, provincial road sign) BEFORE you pass the mill. Approximately 20 km along Revo Road 922, turn right at the Nesslin Lake sign and follow signs for Ness Creek. Option B: Continue to Big River and take the Range Road 3075 out of town. Continue straight for 9 km and connect with Revo Road 922. Approximately 5 km along Revo Road 922, turn right at the Nesslin Lake sign and follow signs for Ness Creek.

Directions

Lawn games will be present all weekend for all guests to enjoy Creek on site: can go for quick dips, or paddle boards. Not deep/big enough for real swimming &amp; no beach Beach: 15-20 minute drive to Nesslin Lake beach. Large public beach with lots of space. Pay 10$/car for entry. Hiking: many hiking trails on the grounds

All donations will go towards their Dolly Parton Imagination Library program. This program promotes literacy by providing every registered child a free book, delivered to their home with their name, every month of life until age 5.
