The year we both signed up to do the Three Peaks Challenge and the Derby to Skegness cycle within a fortnight of each other. Seemingly the only two to be crazy enough to do both of these we soon got talking. This relationship quickly flourished into more than just friends and by December 2018 Sophie had officially moved in. We also had our first holiday together to Venice and Florence, and paraglided over Lake Garda.

Plenty of travelling throughout 2019 - Poland, Amsterdam, Caribbean Cruise. Our favourite for this year definitely belongs to Poland, lots of new memories were made and some were a little more hazy!

Like most we had to entertain ourselves. Date nights at home, many an afternoon in the hot tub with a beer, and plenty of walking and cycling towards the end of the year.

We started getting a little more freedom again after the lockdowns. Abroad travel wasn't on the cards yet so we struck to the UK. We'd managed Yorkshire, Wales, Norfolk, Devon and Cornwall and a couple of trips to London.

Once we fully had our freedom again after the series of lockdowns - more travelling! We got to Peru, Jamaica and America, and then France later in the year. For our longest trips we were away for almost five weeks, we have so many memories from this once in a lifetime trip!

True to style we were off on holiday when we got engaged . We had just been to Seville then flew across to Rome. We'd found the most remote restaurant up a mountain, once we'd got off the beaten track and were sat overlooking the bay of Naples when Alex decided to pop the question!
