Have you ever heard of the invisible string theory...? It's the idea that people are connected by an unseen, yet powerful bond that transcends time, space, and distance. The theory suggests that everyone has a perfect romantic match who is destined to be with them, and that this relationship is not determined by choice. We never really believed in this until we came to the realization that we were in the same preschool class 20 years prior to our meet-cute at Pailin City Hall (yes the same place we are celebrating our love!!) ... but wait we're getting ahead of ourselves!! Let's start over...

Back in 1999, Sovanny's parents had decided to participate in a lottery to get Sovanny into a "demonstration school" also known as a preschool that was run by UMass Lowell. Unbeknownst to them, across the city of Lowell, Neeron's parents were also participating in this lottery to get Neeron into this school as well. Sovanny and Neeron ended up in this demonstration school but don't really recall each other in the class.

Fast forward 20 years later, Sovanny and her friends decided they would attend a Cambodian New Year party at Pailin City Hall. Neeron would be dragged to the party by his cousin and Sovanny's friend, the one and only Tony Chea (Family Over Everything!). Sovanny and Neeron were sitting at the same table however there wasn't much conversation flowing... Throughout the night as the drinks were flowing, Sovanny decided that she needed everyone else to have just as much fun as she was on the dance floor and found Neeron sitting at the table and dragged him out to the dance floor to Madizone the night away.

One thing led to another and they ended up talking all night about their lives, coming to find out their weird similarities of being an EMT/taking classes to be an EMT, their parents' belief in education - Sovanny moving and growing up in Westford to utilize their school system, Neeron attending private school his whole life, Sovanny knowing Neeron's godmother, their immense love for their families and so much more. After this day, they both could not stop thinking about each other. They started dating a month later and have been together ever since!
