Aboard the Carnival Jubilee on our first full day at sea, Spencer had told me the night before he had something planned for us and I needed to be ready by 1:00. He knew I wanted to look my absolute best and have time to thoughtfully do my makeup and wash & style my hair, so we decided I would go to the room around 11 to begin the getting ready process. We woke up, went to breakfast, walked around the ship, and as 11:00 came I parted ways with Spencer for a few hours. Half way through my getting ready process, Spencer opened the cabin door greeting me with a hug and kiss and an iced vanilla latte (boy does he know how to make a girl happy.) Spencer had already picked my outfit out for me before we even left for the trip, a fitted blue two piece set. He had his outfit in mind, but wasn’t 100% certain on his shirt, so of course he had to try them both on. He settled with his black jeans and a blue & white collared polo long sleeve rolled up. He looked so handsome. We finished with our shoes and accessories and walked out of the door hand in hand. Spencer took me down to the 6th floor, we walked over by the Piano Bar and were greeted by employees and a sign that said “Private Event.” We walked away for a minute and made a circle back to the Piano Bar. When we got back the employee said to Spencer “you should go first..” Spencer walked in and I knew it was happening. Tears immediately filled my eyes. An employee walked towards me and handed me a rose as I walked into the Piano Bar where Spencer grabbed my hand and walked me through the rose petals towards the “Marry Me” sign. Spencer then told me how much he loved me and how he has known it was me as I cried (but tried to hold it together.) He reached into his right pocket as he got on one knee.. “Will you marry me?” I couldn’t have said yes faster. Tears billowed down my cheeks as he put my ring on my (very) shaky finger. I have never hugged Spencer so tight as I did in that very moment.
