Our Story

Spring's Perspective

The saying "You find someone when you least expect" is 100% true in our case. Moving from WA to GA I wasn't even looking to date or find anyone. I was focused on building my career in the off road industry and going wherever that career took me. When I left Nitro a shop was interested in hiring me I never knew I would meet the one I would spend my life with, I am blessed everyday for that opportunity. I met Chris at Caffeine and Octane while I still worked at Nitro in January 2020 never knowing I would end up working with him and eventually dating. Once I started working with him we began a friendship just hanging out after hours while he built jeeps and the guys all hung around. Going on weekend rides with a group of friends and ending up being the only ones left at the end. We became friends first and that really mattered. Our wheeling trip to AOP is where we really showed interest in each other to take the next step. I am so happy we both let the walls down and explored a relationship. Our passion for Jeeps, exploring the mountains, camping and going on adventures is what drew us even closer. We are what each other needed in the exact time we needed it. I am so lucky to have Chris, Mannix and Dax in my life. I never imagined raising kids and I now couldn't imagine my life without them!

Chris's Perspective

My story was a little less romantic but lots of laughs. I had came across Spring before we actually met in person through Jeep contacts. Using Instagram I reached out to Spring to come check out our shop and get us signed up as a dealer for Nitro Gears. She did not realize that the guy behind the messaging was me and not the owner of the shop so initially I was blown off by her thinking it was the owner, much older. Eventually a mutual friend joined in our group meeting up early for a Caffeine and Octane Jeep Month and we happened to randomly meet that morning. It was freezing that morning but to my knowledge I had made enough of impression to have her curious. Not too long after the shop was hiring and Spring happened to be looking for a new job. Spring was brought on to the team hoping her strong social media presence would boost knowledge of our shop and promote tons of growth! Over the next few months I would try to resist thinking Spring might be a good fit for me as she was slightly bossy and direct. The guys at the shop tried convincing me for weeks on end it was going to happen until it finally did. I remember working in the shop in the evenings Spring would make sure we ate, even ordering and picking up food for us. One night in particular she offered getting pizza for us and for some reason I finally let thoughts of a future start brewing. I knew if she was this caring for me she would take being a step mom very serious and that’s what me and my 2 boys needed. I had to be wise and not date only for myself but for my family. Weeks went by with more positive thoughts along with plenty of resistance until finally the trip to AOP. By that time we were spending a lot more time together as friends which lead to us riding together to trailer jeeps around. That trip in particular she was to ride with me for the weekend in the YJ. On our return home it got late and we decided to stop half way and stay at my house, still not together, and continue back to the shop to drop of Jeeps the next day. To this day I do not think we have spent more than a handful of nights apart. We realized we make a great team at life and no one has each other back more than us!
