Background: I (Stacey) live in Ohio and my sweet fiancé (Jerel) lives in Pennsylvania. Three sweet years ago, we met at a volleyball tournament in PA, due to mutual friends. He had already done a little creeping on social media so he knew a little about me but I was shortly attracted to him, little did I know he had known who I was. On the way home back to Ohio with my girlfriends, he started messaging me which got me excited! Which soon led to a few months later, him asking me if I would like to get coffee. Long story short a friend of mine bailed and I was not sure I wanted to make the 5 and a half hour trek by myself for a guy I hardly knew. ( GOD STORY.. I’ll explain later). 3 years went past and we would still exchange some snaps here and there and finally he came in to Ohio for a tournament and there a mutual friend said just ask her out already and he had no clue I was into him like that. He came in again the following weekend and we had agreed to meet and talk about us. He posed some hard questions which we soon mutually agreed on and started to begin our journey. We look back and both agree so strongly god was so present in the first encounter we had because neither of us were at a place of putting time and effort into a relationship :)
