The nearest small grocery store is the West Newton Giant Eagle, 105 Robertson St., about five minutes away from town, which is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

The nearest large grocery store is the North Huntingdon Giant Eagle, 8901 U.S. Route 30, about 20 minutes away, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. This store is located in the same plaza with a Target and a Kohl’s.

There are a few small restaurants located in West Newton: Mama Pepino’s and Fox’s Pizza, The Trailside, Fortune Garden Chinese and a Subway

Near Sutersville, there’s Big E’s Bar and Grill and the Big Twist for ice cream (if it’s still open for the season).

North Huntingdon has a wide selection of chain and non-chain restaurants, as does Belle Vernon and little Boston. Tilly’s (Italian) in McKeesport is a favorite.

There is a small gas station in Sutersville, but chain gas stations with large convenience stores are easier to find in North Huntingdon and Belle Vernon.
