Once upon a time (a long, long time ago), Stacey and Brett both happened to be at the same bar in Simi Valley, Ca. Stacey was by herself, and Brett was with his friend Dave. Although, the exact way it came to pass has been forgotten, it is known that the three of them spent the rest of the night chatting. Stacey and Brett seemed to take a liking to each other, but did not see each other again. Then, three months later, they both were at the same bar again. This is where their love story really began... They continued to see each other several times in various places. Stacey was working at the Red Robin at the time and Brett used to come in for her fabulous malt milkshakes and burgers. They moved in together shortly thereafter. After several years of living in California, they decided to move to fabulous Arizona in which Stacey became a teacher and Brett became a service writer manager. They have had many romantic vacations together, such as: Hawaii, Italy, and Greece. However, none was as romantic as their trip to the Bahamas this past year. This is where they became engaged. Brett got on one knee on the beach and proposed. It was a dream come true. The big day is coming soon, and WE can't wait to spend it with all of you!!! To be continued...

The only hotel in Chino Valley. It is clean, has good amenities, and is reasonably priced. Prescott has more options but is about 30 minutes away. The decision is totally up to you.

Days Inn by Wyndham Chino Valley

Great if you are coming from California.Super expensive if you are coming from anywhere else.It is the closest to Chino valley.

Prescott Regional Airport (PRC)

About the same distance as Phoenix from here, but a much prettier area. It will be a bit higher in price than Phoenix.

The most reasonably priced airport.

In Williams, Arizona, Bearizona is a one-of-a-kind experience where you can get up close with North American wildlife in a natural forest setting. It’s a mix of drive-thru safari and walk-thru zoo, making it perfect for both adventure and leisurely exploration. It is about 45 minutes away from Chino Valley.

Bearizona Wildlife Park

Downtown Prescott is a must see. Mt Vernon St. will have some cool Halloween decorations. The Palace restaurant takes you back to the wild west. Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday sat at the very bar that stands there today.

The Grand Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder carved by the Colorado River in northern Arizona. Stretching 277, miles up to 18 miles wide, and plunging over a mile deep it’s a geological masterpiece that reveals nearly two billion years of Earth’s history.This train ride takes you there and back, although it is not necessary to get to the Grand Canyon. The train depot is about 45 minutes from Chino Valley.

The hotel is widely considered Arizona's most haunted. Guests report phantom footsteps, whispers, and doors opening and closing on their own. Room 32 is infamous for tragic deaths and intense paranormal activity.Apparitions include a bearded miner, nurses, and even a spirit cat that leaves imprints on beds and brushes against guests’ legs.The ghost of Claude Harvey, a maintenance man found dead under the elevator in 1935, is said to roam the stairwells and boiler room.It is about an hour from Chino Valley.

Jerome Grand Hotel

Embark on a 4- hour train ride through the Sycamore Canyon gorge. We will be doing this on October 26th. If you would like to join, call them to make the reservation and ask them to seat you next to Stacey Lutton's party. They won't know my new name yet :)The depot is about one hour from Chino Valley.

Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde, Arizona, is a safari-style animal sanctuary that offers an immersive experience with exotic wildlife in a natural setting. It’s not your typical zoo—it’s a place where animals roam spacious habitats and guests get up close in unforgettable ways.It is about an hour from Chino Valley.

Out of Africa Wildlife Park

A must see while visiting Arizona. It is a 286 - acre nature preserve renowned for its breathtaking red sandstone formations, lush riparian habitat along Oak Creek, and extensive hiking trails. Slide rock is a must see nearby as well. It is about an hour and a half from Chino Valley.
