During the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, Stacey's close friend Elizabeth called her up to tell her that she had a handsome client and friend who was finally single. Selling Nick to Stacey was easy, as was selling Stacey to Nick.

Within a few days, Nick made his way over to the westside to meet Stacey at The Tasting Kitchen on Abbot Kinney for drinks on November 17th, 2020. Three hours later they had shut down the restaurant. The two bonded over their shared love of music, family, travelling and margaritas.

As fate would have it, the very next day, California returned to lockdown. Nick quickly pivoted to making elaborate dinners for Stacey in his home in West Hollywood. It wasn't love at first sight just for Nick; Leo, his anxious rescue dog who never likes anyone new, instantly plopped right into Stacey's lap. The three of them have spent nearly every day since together.

Living in Marina Del Rey, Stacey quickly converted Nick and Leo into beach lovers, spending evenings together outdoors under the sunsets listening to the sounds of the ocean and sailboats. Within six months, Stacey moved in with her boys.

On December 30th, 2021, during a morning walk on Anini beach in Kauai, Nick stopped to sit under the canopy of a tree and proposed to Stacey.

The newlyweds-to-be can’t wait to settle back into the beach town where they originally met and build a home and family together.
