A love story 10 years in the making

It all started at UW Madison when Stacey was in her senior year and Joel was in his first year of medical school. One night after a biomechanics quiz, Stacey and her friend Rachel decided to have a celebratory beer at a local establishment where Rachel's brother was out with his friends (RIP Chasers). Stacey saw Joel from across the room, took one look, and thought "hes so tall and handsome as hell". That winter they got drunk on something stronger than the drinks at the bar and started dating!

When Stacey graduated that spring, she moved to La Crosse for Physical Therapy School, and they decided to give long distance a try. For three years, they traveled back and forth visiting each other until they both graduated in 2017. Stacey then moved back to Madison and they moved into their first home together.

They spent one year in Madison before packing up and moving across the country to Tampa, Florida for Joel's General Surgery Residency. Stacey thought, alright, wherever you stray I'll follow and luckily was able to transfer to the Tampa VA. Their (Stacey's) wildest dreams came true when they brought home their little fur baby, Kyanite. Florida filled their hearts with sunshine, and they realized they were the lucky ones. Four years in Tampa flew by, and before they knew it, Joel was graduating residency and accepting a position in Oklahoma for Plastic Surgery Fellowship!

Once again they packed up their home and moved across the country to Oklahoma City!

Throughout the years they've spent their time traveling together with their most recent trip taking them to Greece where they said yes to spending their lives together! They had celebratory wine and thought I don't know how it gets better than this.
