Our Story
October 21, 2022
Staci & Sam first met in Honolulu, Hawai'i through the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s North Pacific Observer Program.
June 01, 2023
We spent most of the early days of our relationship at sea, falling in love through the 180 character texts of a Garmin inReach.
September 25, 2023
Staci invited Sam on a road trip from New Mexico to Washington on a whim. While we both had exit plans, by the time we reached San Francisco, we knew that it was no longer needed.
July 05, 2024
We built out a van together in Sam's hometown of Pensacola, Florida in the early summer heat.
August 03, 2024
We drove the van up to Glacier National Park, seeing friends along the way!

Enjoying our last days living on O'ahu.
March 01, 2025
We moved to Kodiak, Alaska. Staci became a fisheries biologist for the International Halibut Commission and managed the Pacific halibut port in Kodiak. Sam became a survey tech on the NOAA's ship Rainier, where he mapped the sea floor around Alaska.

Traveling above the Arctic Circle with friends. We jumped in the Arctic Ocean!
September 15, 2025
Sam surprised Staci on a camping & kayaking trip out to Popof Island (off of Kodiak) with a Popof Proposal.
February 02, 2026
Staci & Sam moved back to O'ahu after a crazy year away. Sam continued to work for NOAA as a survey technician based out of San Diego and Staci got a job in water remediation with Clean Harbors.
