Staci and Matt met their first year at Viterbo and have seen each other through terrible choices in classes, apartments, and relationships. They always keep each other updated on how terrible their ex's lives are and how much better off they are without them.

Scott and Rachele met when Rachele was born, as she's his sister. They've come a long way from tattling and fighting, now actually respecting each other as human beings. Scott wouldn't mind beating any man who hurt his sister, and in turn, she made sure Staci passed the clearance test when she started dating Scott (in the nicest way possible, of course).

Aubrey and Staci worked together in the kitchen of Bodega and started being friends when Aubrey let Staci crash on her couch during a week-long period of homelessness. Their mutual lack of verbal filter and blunt honesty made them tighter than most.

Staci also met Amber while working at Bodega (Bodega family for life!). A friendship that started from being two of the only well-read, politically active employees only deepened over the years in the face of seemingly insurmountable problems that they turned to each other for help with. They look forward to being old lady friends who push each other's wheelchairs and shout into each other's hearing aids while going out for brunch.

Jake and Scott met at the Houston County Fair when Jake was racing motocross. They discovered they had mutual friends and interests, and Jake ended up being Scott's lucky charm, with something awesome happening almost every time they hung out. From pulling risky driving stunts to being the first wedding Scott and Staci went to together, it seems Jake's still his lucky charm.

Scott met Nate when he was around 4 or 5, when Nate came over across the street to play in his sandbox with him. They always enjoyed the lack of filter they both shared while sharing a ride to the track.

Scott and Chris first met at a graduation party with mutual friends. After a couple of years they ended up working for the same company and had a talent for making each other laugh when stressed out. Chris always accompanied Scott on his lunch breaks when he went to visit Staci at the Bodega.

Staci met Kinsey while working at Bodega. They always joked about having a sham lesbian marriage so that they could adopt a foreign kid together and live a fabulous life in NYC, but then Staci had to go and meet Scotty and get married. They still call each other "wife", though, and have an alarming number of matching household objects, decor, and clothing.

Anna and Staci bonded over working early mornings and speaking nonsense in terrible accents to each other. They are both excessive cat ladies and love to send each other pictures where they have 14 chins.
