Yes! We are happily able to accommodate everyone from our guest list at our rehearsal dinner! It will be at Monk's Kettle in San Rafael, CA at 5 til closing (around 10:30/11). It is very close to the Hotel.

It is a small city about 30 miles north of the city of San Francisco. Some descriptors for the area include: suburban, mostly residential, cooler temperatures, very hilly, small very charming downtown area, near a larger city of San Rafael right off Highway 101.

Expect temperatures in the 80s to 90s with little humidity. The venue has indoor and outdoor spaces, with plenty of shade in the outdoor areas. The venue also has outdoor heaters. Andy and I were there on June 7th in the morning and I was very comfortable in a light sweater and shorts. It tends to warm up but sometimes remains a very slight chill in the shade. Ladies, maybe bring a light shawl, sweater, or cardigan.

We have blocked off rooms at the nearby Embassy Suites by Hilton for Sunday and Monday nights. Extended reservations at the same hotel can be extended at the standard rate. We can pass along the information to the event planner of the hotel so the hotel will know you are with the wedding party when you arrive. ***Our reservation link can now be found on the Travel page.

We selected this venue, not just because of its natural beauty, but because we know all of our guests are coming from long distances. This venue is centrally located between 3 different airports that should work for everyone. There will not be an airport shuttle, however we advise you to rent a car and Uber, Lyft, etc. is very popular here in the bay area.

Beer and wine will be provided for 3 hours. There is a cash bar afterwards. There will be two specialty drinks available as well. There is to be NO outside alcohol by venue request! Dietary requirements can be communicated on your RSVP.

We will be on our way to a mini honeymoon, likely still in California. We plan to officially honeymoon in 2026 internationally. Additionally, we would love to go to breakfast with everyone who will be around Tuesday morning before we head out to Fort Bragg. This is unhosted and casual but San Rafael is covered in delicious cafes so last minute breakfast would be fun.

Yes there is a large parking lot for your car.

Please do not wear white. I would like to be the only one in white as the bride. You can however wear whatever color you like otherwise. There are still plenty of light colors you can wear.

Semi-formal wear. Something nice. It will be mostly indoors. However there is a back patio if you want to go outside for a bit.
