Our Story

How They Met

Jeremy and Stacy first set eyes on each other in December of 2014 at a Christmas party in San Marcos, Tx. If you know the couple you would know that they were too shy to make a move on each other. They didn't speak to each other that very first night, it wasn't until a few nights later that they were introduced by two mutual friends.

Stacy just turned 21 that October and had never been to 6th street so they decided to go out. They took separate cars, when Stacy arrived Jeremy was no where to be found. Later on that night the group decided to go where everyone goes after a night out on 6th street, to What-a-Burger. Lucky for them, their mutual friend's phone died so they used Stacy's phone to Snap Jeremy, but did not receive a response that night.

The next morning Stacy woke up to a snap from Jeremy.

How it Went

Jeremy and Stacy snapped each other back and forth every single day throughout December. In January, Jeremy finally found the courage to ask Stacy for her number, she gave it to him. Again, they texted each other everyday. Then one day it stopped. If you ask Jeremy he'll say that Stacy ghosted him, but according to Stacy it was Jeremy that stopped texting. Both thought the other was no longer interested.

A week later Jeremy was out with his friends and heard Stacy was going to be joining them later on. He instantly got nervous thinking of how awkward it will be when they run into each other. When Stacy arrived she greeted everyone with a hug, including Jeremy. It was definitely awkward for both of them, but they coexisted for the rest of the night. On the way home, Stacy received a text message: "It was good to see you tonight".

Somehow, Jeremy found the courage for the second time that month and texted Stacy. And so it starts again.

The First Day

Jeremy and Stacy talked for another three months. Their relationship progressed from texting to hanging out. They went to their first concert together, went out together, went on dates with each other, and yet they were still just friends.

On Easter Stacy met Jeremy's family for the very first time. Whoever says the women always want to meet their significant other's family first is wrong. It was Jeremy that asked Stacy to meet his family.

Throughout Easter Sunday Jeremy's aunts and uncles would call Stacy his girlfriend, most likely just to mess with Jeremy. Jeremy's cousin would always correct them to let them know that they were just friends. Part of Stacy wished it was true.

Guess that worked out for Stacy though because exactly a week later, Jeremy asked Stacy to be his girlfriend!

The Yes Day

Jeremy spent the days leading up to the big day cleaning and getting the house ready for the big event.

Jeremy planned to proposed on the night that he would be receiving his three sacraments, he knew that it was long overdue and that he wanted to propose before their 8 year anniversary. Not knowing what Jeremy had planned Stacy's grandmother asked all the aunts, uncles, and cousins to travel to Austin to celebrate Jeremy's achievement.

That night the family attended Jeremy's event. Stacy saved seats for Jeremy's parents and family however, the event was halfway over and his family had not arrived yet. Stacy sat there anxiously waiting, worried that they wouldn't make it. Luckily they arrived just in time to witness Jeremy receive his sacraments.

After pictures the family headed home and Stacy headed to the store with her parents "to grab ice". Unfortunately, the stores were closed so they headed home. As they were walking up the driveway towards the house, Stacy could hear music coming from the house. When she walked in, the hall and rotunda was decorated with flowers and candles and there was a sign that says "Will you marry me?".

Turns out Jeremy had been sneaking his mom into the house on Tuesdays through the side gate while Stacy was at work to plan the proposal, the reason that they were late was because they were decorating for the big proposal!

Many people asked Stacy if she knew and the answer is yes, she had a feeling Jeremy was going to pop the question! Jeremy tasked Stacy's sisters with picking out an outfit and convincing Stacy to get her nails done. Jillian ordered a few outfits online and offered Stacy one of her new outfits to wear, this was a red flag to Stacy because who would offer their brand new clothes? Stacy mentioned that she wanted to get her nails done for Easter and out of nowhere Vivian tried to convince her it was a good idea, which was red flag #2. On another occasion Stacy walked to her bedroom and the door was locked, red flag #3.

It all worked out though because now they are engaged!
