Our story began waaaay back before either of us had a clue.
We've known each other since childhood - from when Paul's family lived across the street from my grandparents and summers were spent at my Aunt Tee-Tee's house, who was best friends with Pauls Mom.
As a teenager, I would go visit in the summers and when Paul wasn't hiding in the basement, he rented from my Aunt or working at Carhart, we were cruising around in his yellow 81' GMC. (We might of got it stuck... a few times) Our days were filled with "pretending" to hate each other, fighting to the point of broken couches (that we couldn't lie our way out of) and Paul chasing off any boys I liked. But most of our time was spent with family on the shores of Lake McConaughy. Our love hate friendship grew as we rescued boats that had blown across the lake and sat around the campfire, protecting the littles from the Uncles and their tales of McConaughy Jack and Ogallala Sam. Somewhere between all the teenage antics, we became best friends.
Then life did its thing and we went our separate ways, grew up a bit (sort of). We had families of our own, had adventures and made some pretty great memories. Then fate pulled one of its classic moves and brought us back together.
It has now been fourteen years and we've built a life full of love, laughter, adventures, chaos and just the right amount of driving each other crazy. Our life together is perfect, we just need that yellow 81' GMC pick-up back. We've raised our kids, traveled the country, bought a home, and spend most our days at Lake Pomme De Terre.
We've done all the things that make you an adult together. So now we figure, why not make it official? After all, it's about time we marry our best friend and soul mate before one of us drives the other completely crazy. And so people will quit asking... "when ya gettin married?" (LOVE YOU ALL)
