It all started back in their peak gym days, though their schedules couldn’t have been more different. Harrison was up at the crack of dawn, hitting the gym at 5 a.m. while Stacy was still deep in REM sleep. Stacy had seen some of Harrison's early morning workout posts on Instagram and couldn’t resist commenting, "You are so crazy for working out that early." Little did they know, that comment would spark a connection that would change both of their lives.
Fate soon brought them together when they bumped into each other at the gym. Stacy happened to be on the phone with her brother, Thaaron, when she spotted Harrison approaching. In a fluster, she quickly hung up on her brother, later apologizing and explaining, "It was an emergency—my gym crush came up to me!" That moment broke the ice, and they began chatting more at the gym.
Their first official date was a perfect blend of fun and competition—mini-golf. Both being former D1 athletes, their competitive sides were on full display. Harrison won, but just barely, beating Stacy by only one point—something they still laugh about today. From there, their connection only deepened as they explored new hobbies together, like line dancing, pickle ball, and hiking.
Weeks later, with the help of Carina, his brother's girlfriend, Harrison came armed with flowers, candy, and a heartfelt card, asking Stacy to be his girlfriend.
Despite Stacy being busy in nursing school, the couple found time to travel whenever possible, making memories on trips to Napa, Monterey, and San Francisco. Each getaway was a little escape from the hectic day-to-day, and Harrison knew that once she graduated from nursing school, it was time to make things official as fiancés.
Harrison planned a beautiful surprise proposal. He pulled Stacy away to a family/friends (the Newblom's) private decorated dock where he popped the question. Then, he took her on a private boat ride to Garwoods to meet and celebrate with family. Surrounded by their loved ones, they celebrated with Wet Woody’s (a Garwoods favorite), and it was a day Stacy will never forget. But for Stacy, one of the most special moments was receiving a custom white jean jacket from her future mother-in-law, Lynne, with "Mrs. Murray" elegantly displayed on the back—a personal touch that made her feel even more excited for their future together.
Now, Stacy and Harrison are the proud parents of their red lab, Mojo. Stacy is fulfilled in her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse, while Harrison works as a Land Development Manager at Toll Brothers. Their life together is filled with love, adventure, and excitement as they prepare for their wedding and continue building their future.
