💫 How It All Began

Every great love story has a touch of destiny, and ours began in 2019 in the most unexpected way.

Boris first saw me on a WhatsApp status. Captivated by my picture, he asked a friend for my number but fate made him wait; his friend refused.

As destiny would have it, a few weeks later, he traveled to Douala, where he reconnected with my elder sister, his mutual friend. Trying once again to reach me, he sent pastries with the hope that I would get his contact and reach out to thank him. But once again, his plan failed.


📞 The Call That Changed Everything

Then came the turning point. One evening, my sister posted my picture, and Boris, unable to hold back any longer, gathered the courage to call her. He begged her to pass the phone to me.

At that time, I wasn’t interested in any friendship or relationship, so I declined. But my sister, unwilling to disappoint him, pretended to be me until my father called her. She quickly handed me the phone, signaling with pleading eyes for me to continue the conversation. Reluctantly, I agreed.

That night, Boris asked if he could message me directly. I wasn’t enthusiastic, but I said yes. Almost immediately, his message came in. We reintroduced ourselves, and he poured his heart out, telling me everything about himself and his family.

By the end of that conversation, he revealed that he was based in Yaoundé at that time coincidentally, the same city I was traveling to that week. I couldn’t help but feel that destiny was weaving a story beyond my control.


💕 The First Meeting

At first, I avoided meeting him, giving excuse after excuse. But one ordinary afternoon turned extraordinary when, out of boredom, I finally agreed to see him.

He arrived looking calm, fine, and irresistibly charming. What was meant to be a short meeting turned into hours of laughter and connection. He took me for ice cream, wine tasting, and even a little city tour.

When the rain caught us, we found shelter and ended up singing old Catholic songs together our voices blending as if they had always been meant to harmonize. In that moment, I felt a spark sweet, pure, and undeniable.


🌹 From Strangers to Soulmates

From that day, we became inseparable. We met every single day until I left Yaoundé. The man I once avoided had now become the one I didn’t want to live without.

When I returned to Douala, he followed soon after, boldly declaring that he wouldn’t leave until I agreed to be his girlfriend. I hesitated, unsure of my feelings, but his persistence, sincerity, and devotion melted my doubts.

I finally said yes and that “yes” changed my life forever.


🌿 Growing in Love

Our relationship blossomed like a garden nurtured with love. Boris became my rock supporting me through my education, encouraging me, and caring for me in ways words can hardly describe.

In return, I became his safe space his inspiration helping him grow into a better version of himself. Together, we were intentional about everything.

Despite living in different towns, he made it a priority to visit me every month, turning distance into a testament of his love.


💍 A Love Built on God

Our love was admired by many because it wasn’t ordinary it was built on God, filled with adventure, and nurtured with effort.

From dinner dates and vacations to birthdays and anniversaries, we created memories that sparkled like diamonds.

We laughed, we cried, but above all, we always found our way back to each other putting God at the center of our relationship.


🕊️ Our Forever Journey

In 2021, we introduced ourselves to our families.
In 2022, we dreamed together about relocating for a brighter future.
In 2023, he asked me to be his forever a proposal that remains one of the happiest days of my life and later, we tied the knot legally.
In 2024, we sealed our bond with our traditional rites.
And now, in 2025, we stand ready to crown our journey with the wedding of our dreams surrounded by our loved ones and God’s blessings.

Our love story is proof that destiny cannot be denied that true love waits patiently and that when two hearts are meant to be together, nothing not even initial refusals, distance, or time can keep them apart.

Ours is a story of persistence, faith, and devotion.
And today, we begin the most beautiful chapter yet:
