Heart of Travel can coordinate airport pick-up and a private shuttle directly to the hotel or Airbnb you've booked in Antigua. Pricing per person will vary depending on how many people are on the shuttle, however, transportation costs begin at $45 USD per vehicle.
This price is subject to change depending on group size, so please RSVP to this activity and provide Heart of Travel with your flight information. To give you an idea, the per person price should come to somewhere between $8 and $22 per person to get from the airport directly to your lodging in Antigua.
Once we have received information from all guests we can determine how many shuttles are needed and the final per person price in order to keep things at the lowest cost and environmentally friendly as possible!

Enjoy dining al fresco at one of our favorite local spots in Antigua, Fermento. Known for its classic dishes with a modern flair and craft cocktails, a meal at Fermento is always delicious and boasts a beautiful atmosphere-- plus there will be live music.
This dinner costs $40 USD per person and will include a pre-set menu with three courses and 1 beverage included. Tip for wait staff is also included in your final cost. We will have Heart of Travel staff available to walk you from your hotel or Airbnb to Fermento, as needed. ANTIGUA SCAVENGER HUNT & INTERACTIVE WALKING TOUR

To introduce people to Antigua and get them oriented in a fun and interactive way, Heart of Travel has developed a scavenger hunt all throughout Antigua.
We will start by enjoying coffee and learning a brief overview of Guatemalan history, with an emphasis on Antigua, at Artista de Café. After we’ve gained some historical knowledge and cultural context, we will divide into groups of two to three people to complete a scavenger hunt.
This scavenger hunt is designed to push people just a little outside their comfort zone as they navigate the city, take pictures in front of designated sites and shops, interact with locals to ask questions, and make small purchases. The first group to complete all of the tasks and return to the meeting point will win a small prize to remember their time in Guatemala by!
The cost of the scavenger hunt begins at $21 USD per person, but is subject to change depending on group size and how many signups we receive. This includes a certified guide, a coffee or tea beverage, petty cash to complete scavenger hunt tasks, bilingual Heart of Travel team leaders, and the chance to win a special prize!

This morning we will spend time on the northern outskirts of Antigua, visiting the towns of Jocotenango, San Felipe, and Pastores. First, we will visit Escuela Integrada the school that Kim and Stan’s foundation, Heart for Guatemala, works with. Here you will learn more about the education system in Guatemala and how your support of projects like Escuela Integrada can have an impact on the lives of students, their families, and their communities.
We will then visit Pastores to learn about leather goods and stop in San Felipe to try dulce típicos and visit the organic farm and community center, Eco Farms.
The cost for this activity $59 USD per person, but this price is subject to change depending on group size and how many signups we receive. Your fee includes transportation, a bilingual tour leader, samplings at the market, donation to Escuela Integrada, and payment to the artisans, vendors, and local guides involved!

LUNCH AT LA AZOTEA CARBÓN & OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

For lunch, we will visit the nearby Finca Azotea to enjoy a delicious meal and optional activities. Finca Azotea is an incredible mixed-use space spread out over acres of land right on the outskirts of Antigua. This active coffee farm and the equestrian center also house multiple restaurants, shops, museums, gardens, and green spaces including a beer garden!
After we eat you can spend your time bike riding, horseback riding, lounging in a hammock, taking a chocolate workshop, doing a textile dying workshop and so much more. Be sure to talk to Heart of Travel ahead of time to discuss your options and coordinate your additional activities.
Lunch and activities can be paid for directly at La Azotea. Heart of Travel will provide transportation to and from Azotea, which should cost somewhere between $4 and $10 USD per person depending on group size. Prior to dinner enjoy wine and cocktails at a truly unique locally and woman owned jewelry store inside the ruins of an old cathedral in the heart of Antigua. In addition to delicate handmade jewelry, they offer elegant handbags (by Rosangela Veglio) made with beautiful leathers, fabrics, suedes (from Italy) perfectly combined with exquisite Guatemalan textiles.

Join us for a delicious dinner catered by Abeja Flowers. Then, with Kim & Stan’s big day coming up in less than 24 hours, it’s time to get everyone ready for the dance floor! Enjoy an introductory salsa class with the town’s beloved Gloria as she gets you familiar with the basic steps of salsa, bachata, and merengue.

While the town of San Antonio Aguas Calientes is often overlooked by tourists just passing through Guatemala, locals and visitors who are “in the know”, know that this town has more to offer than meets the eye. Here you can appreciate traditional weaving techniques and learn about Guatemalan textiles and traditional dress and how it reflects the Maya culture and cosmovisión. You’ll also have a chance to do some shopping where you can get good deals and buy directly from the artisan.

If you are looking for a bit more adventure on this day, our Pacaya Volcano Hike is an unforgettable experience. Its an activity that is fun for the whole family or a group of friends. We’ll pick you up at your hotel in a private shuttle or SUV, depending on the size of the group, and start the approx 90-minute journey to the famed Pacaya Volcano, situated southeast of La Antigua. Once we’ve arrived it’s roughly a 1.5-hour hike up this active volcano. While on our hike we will appreciate expansive views of La Antigua and Guatemala City and on a clear day, we may even see the Pacific Coast in the distance. Our local guide will stop at various places to share interesting facts about flora and fauna, as well as the neighboring towns. Upon arriving at the summit, we’ll visit a small jewelry stand that sells beautiful items made by local artisans utilizing volcanic rock and ash from previous eruptions in 2010 and 2014. Here we will roast marshmallows over lava rock and enjoy a picnic lunch before beginning our descent.
