Stef & Jake’s Wedding Info
First, we are beyond ecstatic to have you all joining us for our special day. It means the world to us! We wanted to provide some info on Belize and also two additional invitations during the wedding weekend.
We are arriving in Belize Wednesday, January 22nd.
That Wednesday evening at 5 pm Charlie and Sandra Reed are hosting a ‘Welcome Cocktail Party’ at their home in Belize which is located in an area called Tres Cocos and is less than 3 minutes from Grand Caribe via golf cart, or a 7 minute walk down the beach. See invite.
Friday, January 24th all are invited to our Rehearsal Dinner hosted by John and Sandi Reed. Aji Tapas Bar and Restaurant is located on the same side as Grand Caribe. Within walking distance. We will walk along the beach to get there. Please see invite. Dress is, of course, island casual!
Wedding Attire:
Cocktail/Semi formal - No suit jackets are required.
Women- flats/sandals or wedges are best.
The island itself is more casual.
After wedding ceremony on beach at Grand Caribe Resort, the reception will be held at the resort’s rooftop location nearby ~~ from the beach area, head to the Grand Caribe lobby, head north towards the onsite clinic, enter building and take elevator to the 4th floor. There will also be a team directing where to go. Head on up to cocktail hour!
Transportation:
Aside from the taxi ride from airport all transportation is done on golf carts. These must be reserved. Please contact Grand Caribe or Sunset Caribe directly. We highly recommend.
Please make sure you have been in contact with the resorts to setup puddle jumper plane from Belize City to San Pedro. Either Tropic Air or Maya Air.
Helpful tips:
- $1 USD is $2 Belizean dollars
- The sun is very strong; Good idea to have a light cover up if you intend to be on the water for a good part of the day; hats, fishing shirts, neck cover, etc.
- Grand Caribe has staff to help book excursions on site. We highly recommend the sunset catamaran cruise.
- Snorkeling at Hol Chan on the reef is amazing
- Check with your cell phone carrier in case you need to add international package on it.
