It all started when Colin sent Stella a witty and well-written message, matching with her on Hinge. After a few days of texting, Colin thought Stella was a lovely person, and she thought he was genuinely kind and very funny.

How We Met

For their first date, Colin took Stella up on her mini-golfing suggestion and they met at Golfland Sunsplash. The couple had a lot of fun getting know each other, while playing some of the worst mini golf know to man. By the end, after sending golfballs in every wrong direction, Colin emerged victorious by a single point. 

The First Date

As they dated, Stella and Colin discovered that they made a dynamic duo. From country dancing at Denim & Diamonds to competing in battle royales in Fortnite, the pair enjoyed spending time together with and without friends.

The Love Story Continues…

According to the Groom: Colin knew he was going to propose before their summer trip out of country. He let friends, family, and essentially everyone else besides Stella know when and where the proposal would happen. It was a simple dinner out and a walk around beautiful old town Scottsdale. Colin had arranged for one of Stella’s close friends to hide in the canal to take photos, but a lack of scuba equipment left her to the alternative of getting a musician to play one of our songs and to bring two other friends along for photos. Colin was calm and cool and collected and definitely did not walk into traffic and streetlights checking the map to make sure they didn’t arrive at the proposal spot too early; since he ate his dinner at double time. A nice bridge overlooking the canal with soft lighting and a gentle ambiance is where they walked to, and after moving past a group of three girls who seemed to rush out of the way to hide in the corner, Colin got on one knee and, took something out of his pocket, and completely forgot what he wanted to say. According to the Bride: Under the guise of celebrating the last day of school, the couple went out for a nice dinner! Colin knew how much Stella loves Italian food and so he picked an incredible restaurant with phenomenal food. After a wonderful dinner, they went for a walk around Old Town Scottsdale and Colin almost tripped over a curb looking at his phone. Stella knew something was amidst, but she wasn’t sure what. As they were crossing a whimsically lit the bridge overlooking a canal, Colin got down on one knee and proposed! In the background, a street musical played “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and Stella’s friends came out of hiding to capture photo and videos of the beautiful moment. The proposal was magical and better than anything Stella had ever dreamed it could be! SPOILER - Stella said “Yes!”

We’d love for our guests to join us in semi-formal attire. Gentlemen, please wear a suit, blazer or dress shirt with dress pants. Ladies, a midi-length cocktail dress or dressy separates would be ideal. Kindly note that the wedding festivities will be hosted indoors, irrespective of weather. Examples shown below:
