On a drizzly spring evening, Sten and Alex thought they were going to Detroit to see one of their favorite bands after getting fat on pierogis at the Polish Village Cafe. Little did they know, that after a couple of beers and a bunch of Polish food, Sten’s charm would accidentally turn on and she was about to meet the love of her life.


The girls got to the Sanctuary and grabbed a tshirt from the band before they went on stage. As the venue didn’t allow backpacks, Sten rolled her new shirt into a log and tucked it down the front of her jeans.


A picture was attempted and after realizing the hilarity of an accidental tshirt donger; Sten’s balance was lost. Ope! She bumped right into Matt and Josh. Some laughs were exchanged and Josh scurried off to buy the girls a round of beers, knowing Matt’s interest was peaked.


The band went on. The girls ran off to the front of the stage to sing along and the boys remained in the back.


At the end of the show, the bands upcoming album was played overhead and somehow, Matt and Josh reappeared to compare notes on the set.


Numbers were exchanged, a first date was had on a Wednesday game night and the couple, Matt and Sten, have been inseparable ever since.
