It all started when two almost geriatric millennials swiped right and fell in love. Steph and Chris started chatting in January 2024 and after weeks of messaging back and forth, finally decided to meet for drinks in February, but not on Valentine’s Day, since that would be cliché. It seemed like the world was against them meeting since that first date had to be rescheduled twice but with that first encounter, the spark was evident and weekly dates turned into a few dates a week and so on.

They started spending more time together as the months passed, getting to know each other’s friends and families, and took their first trip together to Nebraska and Iowa in September. By this point, they knew that they were both in it for the long haul and spent the holidays together melding their families. On New Year’s Day, in front of both their parents, Chris told everyone that he intended on getting married and asking Steph…which caused her to almost choke on ham and potatoes!

As you’ve probably assumed, no one had any objections and being the Type A person that Steph is, she started looking into wedding venues. As luck would have it, the perfect venue was available for a Saturday in October, and since they knew wanted to get married this year, they booked it without the “big question” being asked. It didn’t take long for Chris to get down on both knees and ask Steph to marry him….which leads us to today!
