Steph and Tim met at work in the spring of 2019! Tim observed Steph’s science class during his interview at the day program. Steph gave a glowing review of how great Tim seemed to the supervisors who then hired him!


In December of 2019, Tim asked Steph to have dinner with him! She agreed, and although she almost canceled due to nerves on the day of, she had a fantastic time on their first date! Tim took her to The Roost where they talked nonstop over dinner and then to Scrumptious for ice cream. Then, they played Cards Against Humanity with Tim’s roommates before calling it a night (Steph won!).


They have been together ever since! Although the Covid pandemic created many challenges early on, Steph and Tim navigated it together and made the best of it! Despite the ups and downs that plague every relationship, their love has grown strong and resilient! They choose each other every single day and do their best to show the other how valued they are.


Steph and Tim have supported each other through many changes in their lives! Steph moved from an apartment to a house before eventually moving in with Tim. Tim became an independent job coach and then a supervisor at the day program. Steph got a master’s degree and passed her board exams before being promoted to Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Steph and Tim encourage each other to take chances and become the best versions of themselves!


Steph and Tim adopted the most adorable furry friend, Toby, in March of 2022. He has been a joy to have around and a great addition to their family!


Over the years, the couple has enjoyed going on adventures and exploring live music! There have been countless camping trips, road trips, concerts, and festivals. They are excited for a lifetime of memories!


On June 15, 2023, Tim proposed to Steph at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival! Tim got down on one knee during “Colorado Bluebird Sky” by The String Cheese Incident and Steph immediately burst into tears and said yes! The next day, one of the morganite stones fell out of the engagement ring, never to be found. Thankfully, Tim had a good sense of humor about it, and Tim’s mom wasn’t upset (since it was her ring first). Steph still feels bad about it, but honestly, it’s par for the course in her lifetime of mishaps.


Steph and Tim look forward to sharing their next adventure with their family and friends on June 14, 2025! There is still so much love to give, and so much to be grateful for!
