For guests coming from out of state, you may find that LAX has the best flights. For guests coming from within California, Long Beach Airport (LGB) is another option and is a bit closer to the Long Beach ferry.

If you are coming in from LAX or Long Beach, we recommend the Long Beach ferry (see Travel section for details). If you are driving from San Diego/Orange County, we recommend the Dana Point ferry.

When you arrive at the ferry building, there are taxis (golf carts and cars) available. You can also reserve one in advance (see our Travel section). If you don't have a lot of heavy luggage, most hotels are a short walk from the ferry building. Most places in Avalon are very close to each other and easily walkable. There are also golf cart rentals and taxis available if needed.
