In the midst of a global pandemic that made dating feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack, Steph and Kevin stumbled upon each other by reluctantly swiping right while on the dating app, Bumble.

After what felt like endless banter, Steph and Kevin decided to throw caution to the wind and meet in person. Cue the nerves, the excitement, and the inevitable existential crisis of wondering if this was all just a terrible idea.

Their first encounter? A rendezvous at Balboa Park, where they awkwardly navigated the social distancing guidelines, unsure if they should hug, fist bump, or just smile awkwardly from a safe distance. But as they strolled through the park, sharing stories, laughter and a bottle or two of wine, it became clear that they were onto something special.

They quickly discovered their shared love for music, swapping stories about their favorite concerts and festivals. Their mutual passion for travel sparked conversations about dream destinations and hilarious travel mishaps, bonding over the absurdity of missed flights and almost losing precious items while on international trips, like passports and Rachel.

Yet, the true glue in their developing romance? Their mutual adoration for dogs, especially their lovably derpy fuzzball, Mazie. Their conversations were a delightful menagerie of adorable dog memes, cute border collie puppy videos, and endless discussions about little Mazie's quirks.

As they continued to explore each other's worlds, Steph and Kevin realized that they not only shared common interests but also cherished the same values, including the importance of family and the irreplaceable joy of friendship.

And so, in a whirlwind of laughter, shared experiences, and the occasional pandemic-induced existential crisis, Steph and Kevin found themselves falling head over heels in love. It turns out that sometimes, even in the midst of chaos, love finds a way to flourish. And they couldn't be more grateful that it led them to each other.
