It's a modern romance of reconnecting and a perfect example of the "meet them twice" theory. Stephani and Nick met each other in college and ran in the same social circles. Both focused on different things and different paths.

Fast forward years later when they crossed paths again by reconnecting on a dating app. They began liking each other's stories and pictures until one day Stephani straightforwardly slid into Nick's DMs.

"Let me know if you ever want to hangout sometime!"

"Yes! We could do coffee Sunday or if you'd like maybe dinner tomorrow night? Have you ever been to Mori Sushi?"

As it turned out sushi and coffee were the way to Stephani's heart. The two had sushi and ended up chatting and laughing for hours. Of course they later had lots of coffee and they have been inseparable ever since going on many adventures and always seizing the day.

Nick knew from the moment he stepped foot into Stephani's kindergarten classroom that this was a forever kind of love. So much so that he surprised her on Valentine's Day in front of 21 kindergarteners. Nick did not read the story Stephani had planned for him to read that day, but instead read the story of "Stephani and Nick" and asked her to marry him. Stephani of course said "yes!"
