Mike and I met online, which one we’re still debating…Because Mike got Covid while we first started talking, we hadn’t met each other yet, I didn’t think it was meant to be. However; when he was cleared, he asked me out to a nice restaurant in Watertown. I agreed but quickly started second-guessing myself because of his work schedule and the distance (I was working in Madison at this point in time). I canceled but didn’t tell him the truth of why so he asked me out again at a future date. I said yes and then canceled again (yes I know I suck). Mike was rightfully angry and we stopped talking.
Time passed and I was up late one night scrolling through instagram. We’re unsure who started the “liking” of pictures but we started taking turns “liking” each other’s photos until one of us messaged the other. We started talking again and Mike told me if we were going to try this again, I needed to plan the date because he was sick of canceling reservations. Therefore, I picked axe throwing, which above is our first date picture. 🪓
Fast forward to the date…Never in my life have I had such an instant connection with someone. Not only did our clothes weirdly match, our personalities did as well. I don’t think we stopped laughing the whole time we were together. This date was one of those dates that you didn’t want to ever end. We only planned to go axe throwing, but we decided to go to 99 after, where we had a popcorn fight, I know so mature, and where we shared our first kiss. We then went to my apartment and watched movies ❤️
