Can we bring our children? We love your kiddos, and they’re more than welcome to come have fun with us at the Welcome Party and at Bagels with the Bride &amp; Groom the next morning. That said, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be a kid-free zone (except for our two sweet nieces). If bringing your children along is a must, we totally get it! We suggest inviting another adult to travel with you who can help watch the little ones so you can relax, celebrate, and dance the night away. Thanks so much for understanding — we can’t wait to party with you!

Our Wedding

Curt and Stephanie first crossed paths in early 2015, when Curt was serving in the Coast Guard and Stephanie was balancing nursing school with raising her son, Talon, who was just eight years old at the time. What began as a chance connection quickly grew into something lasting and full of love.Right away, Curt's kindness and calm nature were undeniable. He has always gone above and beyond for the people he cares about, especially Stephanie, making it his mission to bring happiness to her life. Together, they’ve built a strong foundation filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering support.Their home is also filled with lots of puppy love—French bulldogs to be exact! Curt and Stephanie adore their own Frenchies and have opened their hearts (and couches!) to fostering others in need. It’s just another way they’ve built a life centered around care, compassion, and joy.Their story also wouldn’t be complete without mentioning their shared love of the water. From boating adventures to lazy days by the ocean, time spent near the waves has become one of their favorite ways to recharge, connect, and make memories together.Now, more than a decade later, they are ready to celebrate their journey and begin this next chapter as husband and wife—surrounded by the people (and pups!) they love most.

Maine holds a special place in our hearts, though getting there can be a bit of an adventure! If you need guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Stephanie or Curt directly.Closest Airport – Presque Isle, MEDrive Time: ~30min to 1hr drive to Eagle Lake (rental car required, but it’s a quick, easy drive).Connections: Flights into Presque Isle connect only through Boston. Layovers here can be longer, but we’ve done it ourselves and even enjoyed a quick visit into Boston—it wasn’t bad at all!Rental Cars: Traditional options like Avis are available, but Turo can be an especially convenient choice here. Rental cars are more limited here compared to the larger airport hubs, so book quickly!Alternative Airport – Bangor, MEDrive Time: ~2h 45m to Eagle Lake (rental car required).Connections: Offers more flight options and flexibility than Presque Isle, making it a solid alternative.Rental Cars: Standard rental companies are on site, and Turo is also available.Alternative Airport - Quebec City InternationalDrive Time: ~3h 30m to Eagle Lake (passport and rental car required)Connections: Offers more flight options and flexibility than Presque Isle, making it a solid alternative.Rental Cars: Standard rental companies are on site, and Turo is also available.Alternative Airport – Portland International Jetport (PWM)Drive Time: ~4h30m to Eagle Lake (rental car required).Connections: Offers a wide range of nonstop flights from major U.S. cities, making it one of the easiest airports to reach from outside of Maine.Rental Cars: All major rental companies are on site, and Turo is also an option if you’d like more flexibility. In addition, there are plenty of rental options available through Airbnb, VRBO, and other sites—just search ‘Eagle Lake rentals’ to discover even more choices. If you’re planning to join us, we recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible. Availability around Eagle Lake is more limited than in most destinations, and we’d hate for anyone to miss out due to lack of nearby options. While we’ve provided several suggestions, there are also a number of surrounding towns within about a 30-minute drive that offer additional lodging to consider. ** Please note, the OVERBOOK MOTEL is on the same property as all of the wedding events (outside of the ceremony) and is a great option for those wanting to be close by (you can walk to and from!). Note:, per the motel owner, the facility has had a complete remodel, however new photos have yet to be placed on their website. But we were assured there is a fresh clean new look to be expected! **

Travel & Accommodations

While Eagle Lake itself is a quiet town, there’s plenty to explore in its surrounding area and just across the border in Canada! If you have a passport, we highly recommend bringing it along. The Canadian border is only about an hour drive, making it an easy day trip. You’ll find a few local breweries and other spots to enjoy—and of course, it’s always fun to say you crossed into Canada during your visit!

This was such a cute place. Everyone was so nice (and spoke English!) and the beer was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Les Brasseurs du Petit-Sault

This awesome place is inside of a golf course and the bartender was so nice and knowledgeable and the beers were so so good! Fun fact Ateepic is woodpecker in French (which is their logo!)

Microbrasserie Ateepic

Massive lobster rolls and unbelievable views! The food is always incredible and the drinks strong (They are sadly closed on Wednesdays for those traveling up early). This is a staple in town (and is one of very few restaurants available). Another fun fact, my memere (grandmother) was the babysitter for the man who opened this restaurant. He has sadly since passed of cancer but now his daughter is the owner/operator carrying on his legend!

Lakeview Restaurant

This is a gas station/restaurant and is so clean and has the best snacks. We suggest stopping by at the beginning of your trip to stock up on snacks you can only get in Maine (then again before you leave to stock up for home!)

Romeo's

Not as nice as Romeo's but they have everything you need. Including ready-made foods, made to order food, and sport serve ice cream with every topping you could imagine. They also have an ICE COLD beer fridge with all of your normal favorites. But we suggest trying some of the locally source canned cocktails and beers. (If you are staying on Long Lake this is the closest store).

Roy's Variety, LLC-

Jim's is a local (and small) grocery store, but don't let that stop you. They have made to order pizza (but we were told the pizza at Roy's is better) and everything in-between. Pro tip, bring a bag with you, as they don't provide them (most rental houses will have bags but if you opted for a hotel, as the front desk for some!)
