During a time when social distancing ruled the land, Daryn and Stephanie formed a bond that would only draw them closer.  With his infectious personality and witty "dad" jokes, Daryn took Steph's breath away, but fortunately was studying respiratory therapy at the time and learning how to give it back.  Steph, then in turn, left Daryn love struck...or rather struck by a rogue disc thrown by Steph while teaching her how to play disc golf.

All joking aside, the couple went on their first date in May 2021 at The Liberal Cup in Hallowell, Maine. Steph skipped the salad for a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries and Daryn knew at that moment that he'd found the woman/foodie of his dreams. This led to other date adventures, exploring other local eateries and then branched out across state lines, such as Ben and Jerry's in Vermont, the fine Italian cuisine of the Boston North End, and basically stopping at any Dunkin' on the road, especially during pumpkin spice season.

In the fall of 2022, they journeyed on their biggest adventure to Gettysburg and Lancaster, nerding out with history and further celebrating their love for each other and Abraham Lincoln.  December 2022 was their first concert together and was A Day to Remember (quite literally, that is the name of the band).  Then, in April 2023, they trekked to Orlando and spent their life fortunes at Disney and Universal, but it was worth a wand and a light saber for Daryn to become a jedi wizard and for them to toast with Butterbeers.

Daryn and Steph also discovered a mutual joy for camping and this led to purchasing their first RV and seasonal site in summer 2023. One special evening on July 27, 2023, while roasting marshmallows on the fire and after sweating profusely (the fire was hot, okay), Daryn popped the question and Stephanie said yes, knowing this was the start to many more adventures together.
