Our Wedding

Love has a funny way of finding us when we least expect it even in the middle of a global pandemic. Stephanie and Joel’s story began at the peak of COVID in 2020, a time when the world felt uncertain, and love seemed harder to navigate. While others were keeping their distance, these two found a way to grow closer. Their first dates were filled with masked smiles, socially distanced walks, and late-night video calls that lasted for hours. Despite quarantines and ever-changing rules, they never let the world’s chaos get in the way of their connection. As time passed, their bond only deepened. Together, they built a relationship filled with laughter, love, and shared adventures, always supporting one another through life’s ups and downs. Their home became even more full of love with the addition of their two furry companions Reptar, their playful Boston Terrier, and Milo, their sweet and mischievous cat. With Stephanie’s Dominican roots and Joel’s Nicaraguan background, their love is a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and families coming together. And after years of creating memories, Joel made the most beautiful decision of all, on March 16, 2024, he got down on one knee and asked Stephanie to be his forever. She said “yes,” of course, and now they are joyfully planning their wedding day, set for November 8, 2025. Their love story is proof that even in the most uncertain times, love always finds a way. Through patience, commitment, and unwavering faith in one another, they built something strong, something lasting something truly meant to be. As we gather to celebrate their union, we are reminded of these timeless words:"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."— 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Here’s to Stephanie and Joel, a love that endured, a love that grew, and a love that will last a lifetime. Nuestra Historia El amor tiene una forma curiosa de encontrarnos cuando menos lo esperamos, incluso en medio de una pandemia mundial. La historia de Stephanie y Joel comenzó en el punto álgido de la COVID en 2020, una época en la que el mundo se sentía incierto y el amor parecía más difícil de gestionar. Mientras otros mantenían la distancia, estos dos encontraron la manera de acercarse. Sus primeras citas estuvieron llenas de sonrisas con mascarilla, paseos con distanciamiento social y videollamadas nocturnas que duraban horas. A pesar de las cuarentenas y las normas en constante cambio, nunca permitieron que el caos mundial interfiriera en su conexión. Con el paso del tiempo, su vínculo se profundizó. Juntos, construyeron una relación llena de risas, amor y aventuras compartidas, apoyándose siempre mutuamente en los altibajos de la vida. Su hogar se llenó aún más de amor con la llegada de sus dos compañeros peludos: Reptar, su juguetón Boston Terrier, y Milo, su dulce y travieso gato. Con las raíces dominicanas de Stephanie y el origen nicaragüense de Joel, su amor es una hermosa mezcla de culturas, tradiciones y familias que se unen. Y después de años de crear recuerdos, Joel tomó la decisión más hermosa de todas: el 16 de marzo de 2024, se arrodilló y le pidió a Stephanie que fuera su pareja para siempre. Ella dijo que sí, por supuesto, y ahora planean con alegría el día de su boda, programada para el 8 de noviembre de 2025. Su historia de amor es prueba de que incluso en los momentos más inciertos, el amor siempre encuentra un camino. Con paciencia, compromiso y una fe inquebrantable el uno en el otro, construyeron algo sólido, algo duradero, algo que realmente estaba destinado a ser. Al reunirnos para celebrar su unión, recordamos estas palabras atemporales: "El amor es paciente, es bondadoso. No tiene envidia, no se jacta, no es orgulloso. No deshonra a los demás, no busca su propio beneficio, no se enoja fácilmente, no guarda rencor. El amor no se deleita en la maldad, sino que se regocija con la verdad.
