January 2021, Charles and Stephanie met online. Initial conversations were held using online chat. Charles and Stephanie exchanged numbers after three weeks of online chatting.

Charles found that he enjoyed Steph's sense of humor and the tone of her voice so he asked if they could increase the number of times they spoke on the phone.

By mid-February Charles and Stephanie were talking 2-3 times per week (still hadn't seen each other).

By March they were talking daily.

Stephanie and Charles held their first date in April (after talking for four months). They met at a Starbucks in Waldorf, Md. They brought drinks (coffee for her and refresher drink for him), laughed, talked, and people watched. Charles will always remember her smile, laugh, brown eyes, and leopard print blouse. He says Stephanie was flirtatious, knew how to hold a conversation, funny, and sassy. Pretty much the same as she was on the phone.

On July 29th, thanks to Donna D. Stringer, Alicia Prescott-Walker, Trinette Whitehead, Cherie H. Mack, and Risa W. Kornegay, Charles and Stephanie had their Engagement Celebration. Charles proposed again in front of family and friends.
