Stephanie & Tommy's Story

Rewind the clock to the very beginning of January 2019. Stephanie was working as a relationship manager for Bank of America, and Tommy as an information security advisor for Trustwave. They were both well along their way with the start of their professional careers. Little did they know, their two path's were about to collide into one, forever changing everything for these two...  Our story started in downtown Melbourne at a small craft brewery called Hell n' Blazes. After a few drinks, Stephanie grabbed her boots and headed for the door. At the last second, she turned and said, I'm going line dancing down the street, you can come or you can stay here. Thanks to the stronger then normal craft beers, this would be the only time Tommy would line dance in his entire life, and trust us, he looked like a fool the entire time.  Fast forward 3.5 years and many memories...  Stephanie, Tommy, and their three dogs, Riley, Roxy, and Emma, lived just a few hundred feet from the ocean in the quiet town of Satellite Beach. One sunny July day, Tommy asked Stephanie to go for a walk on the beach. About a mile into the walk, Tommy tossed his sandals and dropped down on one knee. This day would forever change the rest of their lives.

We have reserved a room block for this hotel and this will be where we are staying. Room block has a two night minimum. An affordable beachfront option centrally located close to the reception and ceremony. Individuals need to call 772-231-2300. Rates cannot be changed upon check-in or at checkout times for guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time the reservation is requested. After the cut-off date, any unreserved rooms will be released back into general inventory, and reservations will be accepted on a space available and rate available basis.

A luxury beachfront option centrally located close to the reception and ceremony. In Vero Beach (Central Beach) Stay in one of 94 guestrooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Rooms have private balconies. 4-star hotel. Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments, and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness center. Relax with a refreshing drink from the poolside bar or one of the 2 bars/lounges.

Costa dEste Beach Resort and Spa

Another affordable option located mainland just across the causeway. A 6 minute drive from the reception.

Hampton Inn & Suites Vero Beach Downtown

Another affordable oceanfront option located a bit further south but close to the ceremony location. Not as close to the reception, restaurants, or bars in Vero Beach as the Ocean Breeze Inn or Costa d’Este.

The wreck is located directly in front of Costa d’Este hotel about 1/4 mile offshore. The Ocean Breeze Inn  is just a few hundred feet down the beach from here as well. On a calm day, you can snorkel out to the wreck from the beach.

The McLarty Treasure Museum is a great little museum that paints the story of the ill-fated 1715 fleet of eleven Spanish galleon ships laden with gold, silver, copper and riches as they were heading back to Spain. All eleven ships sank close to shore in a hurricane. This museum is located south of the Sebastian Inlet State Park on part of the former site of the “Survivors & Salvager’s Camp – 1715 Fleet.”

The Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge has long stretches of quiet, undisturbed sandy beaches that are essential to the reproductive success and survival of turtles, making for wonderful day trips of beach exploration and opportunities to learn about this barrier island ecosystem, which has 248 acres and is 20 miles long. Surf fishing is allowed in many of the beaches in the refuge.
