I saw you have a room block for the wedding. How do I book a room at The Thayer Hotel?
We do have a room block! And you can book a room! Just follow these convienent steps and you'll be all set to party all night(or at least til the afterparty ends).
1) Pick up your phone and CALL the hotel. The number is convienently located in the "Accomodations" area of our wedding site! You MUST CALL. YOU CANNOT BOOK FOR OUR ROOM BLOCK ONLINE.
2) Make sure that you CALLED the hotel. Yes. That means you. Pick up the phone and call. I see you looking at the "Book Online" section of their website. You can't do it. You gotta call. Sorry pal.
3) After you CALL(yup, still gotta do it), tell them you'd like to book a room for the Ferrick/Russo wedding. We have a room block with some locked rates. They will hook you up.
4) Congrats! You booked a room for our hotel block. Hang up the phone(because you CALLED them) and pat yourself on the back.
Your Save the Dates and Invitations and the website and basically everything about the wedding says you need to bring government-issued ID. Do I need to bring government issued ID?
Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes.
Since West Point is basically government property, you MUST bring either a drivers license or passport to get in. Some state licenses are not accepted, so a passport or some other form of ID must be used.
And it case it wasn't clear: YOU NEED TO BRING ID.
The Ceremony and the Reception are three hours apart. What should we do in the mean time?
Guests staying at The Thayer Hotel should head there after the Ceremony and check in.
If you're not staying or just want something to do, Steph and Jordan have compiled a list of some of their favorite spots between and around Hopewell Junction and West Point!
The Website says the Ceremony is being held in a church. Is there going to be a mass as well?
Nope! The Ceremony is just that, a ceremony! It should last about half an hour.
I'm looking forward to taking a bunch of pictures of the special day! Can I take a ton?
Of course! At the reception! We would like to have our ceremony be "unplugged," so no phones during the ceremony please and thank you! (But you can use your phone to call and book your room for the hotel!)
Afterparty? A party after the party? Where is this happening and am I invited?
If you're invited to the wedding, then you are in luck because you're also invited to the afterparty!
The Thayer Hotel has a rooftop bar that will be hosting our afterparty(weather permitting). If the weather decides not to hold out, then the hotel will provide us with this great invention called a roof, in the form of the afterparty being inside! Isn't technology great?
The afterparty will be immediately after the Reception and will have a full bar and some snacks for your enjoyment. And the best part: when you're partied out, you can just stroll/stumble to your hotel room(that you booked by calling the hotel).
Where will the weddin' supper be?
Down by the hickory, dogwood and/or eucalyptus tree.
