Met at Purdue before a class. We had a highly romantic first date of studying at Starbucks in the Purdue Memorial Union.

After cheering on a terrible team for years, we celebrated a historic win when Purdue beat Ohio State.

The end of an era. We graduated from Purdue.

Being from two places it’s fun to explore both California and Chicago! New Years 2019 was the first one we got to celebrate together in California. We didn’t know what was coming with Covid but we made the best of it.

During Covid we spent lots of time hiking in California, Tennessee, and New Hampshire. It was a fun safe way to be together during this time.

We conquered long distance. Steph moves to Boston and we make it our new home. We have had many visitors, made new friends, and have gotten to see a lot of New England.

Stephanie ran the Chicago Marathon. Evan was the best cheerleader ever.

Lots of New England travel and celebrating birthdays! Evan’s PhD requires long months of travel during the summer months. Celebrating both of our July birthdays felt special after a few years of not celebrating together.

After 7.5 years we get engaged! Evan set up our apartment with photos throughout the years, candles, and flowers. He surprised Steph who came home with dirty hair and a sweatshirt from school. She was speechless and so happy. We celebrated that night at our favorite Cambridge restaurant, Field and Vine.
