Our Wedding

Our story began in the late spring of 2020 during the unlikeliest of times of the Covid pandemic. Despite the challenges faced due to lockdowns and social restrictions, we found each other on a dating app called Bumble. We had our first date at Midtown Oyster Bar in Newport, RI. Ian was a Boston city-boy and I was a small-town Rhode Island gal.&nbsp; We immediately bonded over espresso martinis and our shared love for our dogs. Ian had just adopted the cutest Goldendoodle puppy I had ever seen, Finley. We enjoyed every summer weekend together thereafter, splitting our time between Newport and Boston. We went out to the most wonderful dinners, soaked in the sun at beautiful beaches, and met each other's closest friends. Our immediate connection was undeniable and our two furry companions became fast friends.&nbsp; As our relationship blossomed, we decided to embark on a new adventure together; we took a leap of faith and moved to Nashville, TN. It's been an incredible journey and we both feel so incredibly blessed to have found one another. We can not wait to see what the future holds for us and our little four-legged family members.

Shepherd's Run is a destination estate winery, resort and event venue set on a picturesque thirty-six acres in bucolic Rhode Island. Established in 1933, Shepherd's Run was once the summer residence of Rush Sturges and Elizabeth Hazard Sturges. The original manor was designed in the Norman Romanesque style by Thomas Pam Cope and the gardens were designed by famed landscape architect Beatrix Ferrand.

The Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites in South Kingstown is located closest to our venue, Shepherds Run. *A complimentary Shuttle Service will be provided from the Fairfield Inn to Shepherds Run. The shuttle will make two trips. The first shuttle departs at 4:20 PM and the second shuttle departs at 4:30 PM. We kindly ask that you arrive promptly to ensure a smooth and timely transfer. Guest may arrive at Shepherd's Run no earlier than 4:30 PM. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Are you ready to try the best lobster roll of your life? Reservations are recommended for indoor and outdoor dining. Seating on the Lawn is on a "first come, first served basis."
