They had just returned to college from Winter Break in January 2012. Stephanie walked into Rich Hall, the business building they both had all of their classes in, and ran into a mutual friend John Valencia. in the lobby. Stephanie and John caught up a bit and then he proceeded to introduce her to Trevor. They said a quick hello having no idea what the future had in mind for them.

After she said bye and headed to class Trevor turned to his friend Ray who was sitting with him on the couch and said "I am going to make that girl my girlfriend"- or so he says. Either way, over the next week they continued running into each other around campus and in Rich Hall.

Trevor and Stephanie were both a part of Greek Life at SUNY Oswego. Trevor was in Sigma Gamma, a local Fraternity, and Stephanie was in Delta Phi Epsilon, an international sorority. Soon after the two had met, DPhiE and Gamma had a mixer planned. Stephanie at the time lived with 6 other girls, one of which had her boyfriend named Vlad visiting. So when Stephanie went to introduce Vlad to Trevor at the mixer there was actually no need for the introduction at all. Seems Trevor and Vlad had been roommates back at SUNY Albany so already knew each other quite well. Needless to say this world cannot be any smaller.

Over the next few weeks which led to months Trevor and Stephanie continued to get to know each other better and then over that summer made their relationship official on May 22 2012.

Trevor graduated from SUNY Oswego in December 2012, and Stephanie soon followed graduating in May 2013. They shortly landed full-time positions in NYC that summer, Trevor working for Union Beer Distributors in Sales and Stephanie working for Green Key Resources as a Research Analyst (fancy name for Recruiting Coordinator). They moved in together to their first apartment in Bay Ridge Brooklyn that September of 2013 and have lived together ever since, moving twice since then, all times within BK. They now reside in Cobble Hill, BK with their two cats Mac and Dax.

Trevor decided to pop the question on September 23rd 2018, a day I believe the two of them will never forget thanks to Trevor's amazing planning! He drove them upstate to Poughkeepsie, NY (his hometown for those of you who may not know that) to attend what Stephanie thought was Trevor's fathers birthday brunch at the River Station. The reservation was at a restaurant Trevor had taken Stephanie to on their first 4th of July together which was also the first he told her he loved her. She also expressed the mutual feeling :) They had arrived early so he asked her to take a walk down by the water to kill time. As they got down the hill to the waterfront he proceeded to start his heartfelt speech which led to him getting on one knee and asking for her to marry him. She of course said yes and then once she turned around was surprised with the presence of her mother, sister, and Trevor's parents, sister, and grandparents. There actually was a reservation so the 8 of us celebrated over a yummy brunch. The two hung around with his and her family for a bit, watching the Dolphins beat the Raiders, and then drove back home to Brooklyn since Trevor had made a "dinner reservation" for the two of them.

It was a beautiful day so they decided to walk to the restaurant. On the way Trev asked if Stephanie wanted to stop in Union Hall, a local bar in Brooklyn, and as they walked in, Stephanie was surprised by 40+ of their closest friends and family. We all celebrated and overcame the Sunday Scaries together. 4 days later they left for an unforgettable Euro trip to London, Paris and Amsterdam.

.... and now they're getting married on Thursday, June 17th 2021.
