Frequently Asked Questions

When's the date again?

October 20th, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Don't miss it! :)

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP no later than September 20th, 2018.

Do I have to RSVP?

Yes. A RSVP is absolutely REQUIRED for every invited guest. It is essential in planning for the ceremony seating and reception meals.

How do I RSVP?

You may RSVP directly through the website's "RSVP" page or by mailing in the RSVP reply card in the stamped return-addressed envelope you received in your formal invitation. Please include the name of the person(s) in attendance or nonattendance if this is not already written on the RSVP reply card.

If I am unable to attend, do I still need to return the reply card or reply online with "decline to attend"?

We ask that every invited guest responds by accepting or declining the invitation. Please return your RSVP card by mail with your name(s) and "decline" checked on the reply card.

--OR--

You may RSVP online by clicking "will not attend" for each person in your party. Please adhere to these guidelines as this helps the bride and groom have an accurate count for all invited guests.

Is it an outdoor ceremony?

We plan on holding the ceremony on the Spirit Mountain hillside looking over Lake Superior. In the unfortunate event of poor weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors. The reception will be held indoors at the same venue as the ceremony.

What happens after the ceremony?

Once the ceremony is finished, the wedding party will stick around to mingle and chat with guests. Reception doors will open immediately and guests are welcome to make their way up to the "Eagles Nest" at their leisure. Weather permitting; there will be yard games for adults and children, as well as a cash bar for cocktail hour.

How do I get to the venue(s)?

We wanted to make getting to our wedding as convenient as possible for our guests. Because of this, both our ceremony and reception are at the same location - yippee! If you need more information on how to get to Spirit Mountain or the address, please refer to 'Travel and Transportation' under our details tab.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony starts promptly at 5:00 pm. Though there will be more than enough parking for everyone, please allow enough time to find a spot as well as your seats. We suggest planning to arrive no later than 4:45 pm.

Will there be free parking?

Absolutely! Please park in the venue parking lot. If needed, guests are welcomed by Spirit Mountain to leave cars parked overnight.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

There is no need to wear a ball gown or tux, but it's still a wedding! Semiformal, please.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in! However, take into consideration that our ceremony will be held outside, and you will be walking on grass.

Are kids welcome?

Of course! However, they must be included in your RSPV count.

Can I bring a date?

Although we would love to accommodate everyone who wants to come and celebrate our big day with us, we must stick to the people noted on the invitation due to financial restraints. You are more than welcome to bring a date if we have included a "plus one" on your RSVP card. Thank you for your understanding.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

We have blocked off a few rooms at Americas Best Value Inn, less than a 3-minute drive from Spirit Mountain! For additional accommodation information, please refer to our "details" tab at the top of the page. However, if you wish to stay somewhere else please feel free to do so. The chosen hotel was selected as a convenience for guests who wish to be close to the venue.

Will food and drinks be served?

Dinner and dessert will be served, so come hungry! Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

If you have a dietary restriction, be sure to include that information on your RSVP card. We will gladly accommodate you.

Will there be dancing?

Yes, and lots of it!

Can I take pictures?

For us, it is important that the ceremony be unplugged from all electronics. What this means is that while we exchange vows, we ask that you please put all electronics away (cameras, cell phones, iPads, etc) and enjoy the moment with us. We kindly ask you to please respect this request. However, after the ceremony and during the reception, you are more than welcome to take as many photos and videos as you'd like! In fact, when you share them to Instagram and/or Facebook please include our hashtag #EngblomWedding so we can see it too! <3

Is there a gifts registry?

Certainly! To find detailed information on where we are registered as well as direct links, please direct yourself to "Registry" at the top of this page.

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

Unfortunately, there will be no shuttle service offered. However, guests are more than welcome to leave their cars parked overnight free of charge at our venue location. Additionally, if you and/or your family prefer walking distance, there are villas available for booking at a first come first serve basis at Spirit Mountain! See accommodation for more information.

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Yes! Stephanie Isaacson will now be an Engblom!
